Isoland 3: Dust of the Universe is the third in a series of fantasy adventures that begins on an isolated island in the Atlantic Ocean, in Isoland. After taking off in a rocket at the end of Isoland 2: Ashes of Time, you now find yourself on yet another island, searching for clues about your surroundings and how to escape. To complete the game fully, you must play the game twice. There are 20 Steam Achievements, all documented in the walkthrough below.

Round 1

Rocket

Pick up the scissors and use them to cut out the rocket. After the rocket lands, head right. Talk to the man about everything. Go right to find a beach. Pick up the middle rock here, then go back up the path to the left. Return right and a shell will wash up on the beach. Go back up the path to the left once more. Return right and a rock will wash up on the beach. Click on this to find out it is really a crab Environmentalist. Go up the path to the left yet again, then return right and pick up the bugle from the beach. While you are here, notice the carvings on the rock to the left.

Now head right and go up the winding path. Click on the flower (1/21), then quickly grab the fruit. Go back down and feed this to the bird Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep. Head up the winding path and get another red fruit, then go back down and right. Pick up the stick, then click on any of the signposts Rock the Post (Don't Rock the Post). Notice the 4 symbols on the signposts.

Examine the door here, which is random with each game. You just need to click on the devices to retract the rods so that none of them get stuck on the others. Go through the door.

Cave

Talk to the man here, then give him his bugle. After the ceiling breaks, talk to the man again. Continue past him to the right and click on the longest piece of moss on the right Once in a Bloom Moon. Take the lamp key from the recess. Put your rock into each of the holes until you find a seed you can collect. Go back out and plant the seed in the water - a flower will grow. Pick up the cube. Go to the back room again and place the cube in the recess, then go through the open door.

Place the lamp key in the lamp, then turn it His Dark Murals. Make sure you notice the series of 4 symbols in the water to the right of the mural. Leave the cave and head left until you reach a door covered by vines. Go around the back path and examine the machine here. Enter the 4 symbols you just saw in the mural.

Return to the right side of the beach and a ship will have arrived - get on board.

Ship

Talk to the captain and give him the fruit. Take the Moon sticker (1/11) from the door on the left. Also notice the triangle symbols on the left wall. Leave the ship and click on the red bird on the beach, then go back to the ship and the captain will go over to the bird. Now you can examine the door behind him. Click on the latches in a specific order (random with each game) then go inside. Notice the triangle symbols here, then talk to the chef. Look at the note on the bench containing a game of tic-tac-toe. Now head down the stairs.

Grab the red rectangle from the shelves, then notice the box labeled "The Dawn of Man". Press the buttons on this in the order shown on the tic-tac-toe note: OXOXOXX. Now take the flint from inside. Look over at the round window and notice some more triangle symbols. Go back upstairs and out to the right. Talk to the boy here, then climb over the ladder to see the side of the ship. Grab the Earth sticker (2/11) and notice another set of triangle symbols. Climb back up and leave the ship.

Head back up the path to the left and give your flint to the man, then take the gold coin he drops. Use your stick on the fire to create a torch. Head right and then along the path to the left. Use your torch on the vines, then go through the door.

Shrine

Talk to the dog, then go through the left doorway. Notice the pattern on the right wall (random with each game). Break the left wall and take the shovel, then head through the left doorway. Next head through the right doorway twice, then the middle doorway twice. This will make a fourth doorway appear Codebreaker. Go through and take the light tube. Examine the door on the left and move the screws to recreate the pattern you just saw on the wall within the shrine. Go through to see a statue with 4 sliders beneath it.

Go back outside and go to where you found the red fruit earlier. Head up the path further and notice the relative positions of the planets. Return to the statue in the shrine and adjust the sliders to match this:

After the statue rotates, take the gold nugget. Leave the shrine again, and head all the way right into the cave.

Cave

Go through to the back room and use the shovel to dig, then take the cone. Leave the back room and retrieve the cube from the recess just outside.

Ship

Give the gold nugget to the chef, then take the tentacle meat. Head out to the right and give the light tube to the boy. Look over the side of the boat and take the reflector. Back on the deck, put your gold coin into the viewer on the right. Use the dials to move the view around so you can see the writing on the side of the large shape in the sky. Leave the boat again.

Shrine

Give the tentacle meat to the dog, then pick up the blue bone. Go through the fourth doorway and insert your reflector in the space on the left pillar. Now click on each of the reflectors to make the red beam hit the eye on the door. Go through the new doorway. Use your blue bone on the broken tentacle of the statue here, then take the lumpy sphere from the statue's mouth. Next examine the dial on the right wall. You need to set this according to the carvings on the rock at the beach - move the star to the top-left green segment, and the moon to the bottom-right blue segment.

Head outside and up to the fire, then use the lumpy sphere on the fire and pick up a normal sphere. Go up to the very top of the path past the red fruit to find a stone plateau. Using the symbols you found through the viewer on the boat, place your 4 symbols on the ground here. From left to right they should be: cone, sphere, cube, rectangle. Now examine the triangle ahead of you. You must click on smaller triangles based on the 4 patterns you found on the boat I Am Number Four:

Now you can board the spaceship.

Spaceship

Talk to the astronaut, then look in the 3 boxes on the right, but you cannot solve any of them yet. Examine the small puzzle on the left wall. You need to make all of the pieces the same color with 4 clicks (random with each game). Head through the doorway to the left Gotta Go Back in Time.

Past

Look out the open window on the right and take the Saturn sticker (3/11). Back out and head up the stairs. Notice the 3 pictures on the right wall, mentioning a speed, distance and time. From these, you can work out the rocket traveled for 1:20, so it took off at 11:18. Go back downstairs and examine the clock on the left, entering this time. After it crashes, pick up the green battery from the floor. Head upstairs again.

Grab a book from the stand nearest you, then examine the bookshelf at the back. Put your extra book in the shelves, then rearrange the books so there are 2 touching each of the "2" symbols, and 1 touching each of the "1" symbols. Go through the hidden passage. Examine the astronaut toy and note the colors in its reflection. Climb up the ladder and insert your battery into the robot Child's Play. Watch the series of face expressions it projects on to the bed.

Go down and back to the previous room, and follow the arrow to a back room which has a video projector. Move the tentacle statue and press the button that is revealed, then take the bread from the hidden compartment that is revealed. Now examine the closed door. You can ignore most of the tiles in this puzzle - you just need to connect the energy symbol to the light using some black and gold connectors. Go through to the next room once the door is opened. Collect the Venus sticker (4/11), then examine the oven to the right. You need to press the buttons in the sequence indicated by the projections of the robot: left, right, left, middle, middle, left, right. Take the undeveloped film from inside the oven.

Go back out twice and examine the glass jar on the stand. Place your bread next to it, then grab the ant once it crawls out to the bread. Now enter the dark room to the left. Empty the glass bottle on the right, then pick it up. Take note of the relative positions of the nut, balls and fork after you emptied the bottle. Open the closet to the left and look at the code box inside.

Return to the room with the oven. Use your empty bottle in the sink, then turn the tap and retrieve a bottle of water. Place the undeveloped film in the tray on the bench here, then examine it and take the Uranus sticker (5/11). Now you need to use the droppers to place fluid around the film based on the reflection in the astronaut toy from before:

Take the developed film. Go out to the previous room and use this film in the projector. Watch the entire film Movie Night. Go back downstairs and pour the water from your bottle into the glass container on the right. Now you can take the crowbar. Go upstairs, into the secret room, and up the ladder to the robot. Use the crowbar on the loose panel in the wall, then take the puzzle piece from behind it. Climb back down the ladder and examine the computer. Enter the password SHELL (seen in the movie), and look at the 4 symbols that are displayed.

Leave this room and enter the left room again. Examine the code box and enter the symbols you just saw on the computer: hand, eye, waves, sheep. Move aside everything else so you can take the button from inside the box. Go to the hidden room again and examine the astronaut toy. Insert the button, then press it. Take the pencil, and also click on the photo of the girl with the lute Yesterday Once More.

Go back out of the past.

Spaceship

Examine the left box and insert the pencil. Examine the middle box and insert the puzzle piece. Examine the right box and insert the ant Not Once, Not Twice, but Thrice. Talk to the astronaut again, then head through the doorway. Examine the platform on the left, and position the colored balls based on the objects that fell out of the jar in the past:

  • Red: Outer ring, top-left
  • Blue: Middle ring, bottom-left
  • Yellow: Inner ring, bottom-right

Click on the portal and the rocket will take off.

Round 2

Back at the main menu, start a new game - don't worry about the warning. There are quite a few differences in game-play during this second round.

Rocket

After the rocket lands, head right. Talk to the man about everything. Click on the flower (2/21) - you will notice if you click on it again that a timer will appear. Go right to find a beach. Click on the flower (3/21). Pick up the middle rock here, then go back up the path to the left. Return right and a shell will wash up on the beach. Go back up the path to the left once more. Return right and a rock will wash up on the beach. Click on this to find out it is really a crab. Go up the path to the left yet again, then return right and pick up the harmonica from the beach. While you are here, notice the carvings on the rock to the left.

Now head right click on the flower (4/21), then go up the winding path. Click on the flower here. Go back down and continue right. Pick up the stick, and notice the 4 symbols on the signposts. Examine the door here, which is random with each game. You just need to click on the devices to retract the rods so that none of them get stuck on the others. Go through the door.

Cave

Talk to the man here, then give him his harmonica. After the ceiling breaks, talk to the man again. Continue past him to the right and click on the flower (5/21). Take the lamp key from the recess. Put your rock into each of the holes until you find a seed you can collect. Go back out and plant the seed in the water - a flower will grow. Pick up the cube. Go to the back room again and place the cube in the recess, then go through the open door.

Place the lamp key in the lamp, then turn it. Make sure you notice the series of 4 large shapes in the right of the mural. Leave the cave and head left until you reach a door covered by vines. Click on the flower (6/21). While you are here, click on the small trapped bug repeatedly until it leaves Heeeeeeelp Me. Go around the back path and examine the machine here. You need to move the green plus symbol around and gradually get all 3 green containers nested together. Now just wait here for a while, and a big fish will appear in the ocean Leviathan. Leave and come back here. Wait for the big fish to come back again, and click on the flower (7/21) on its back.

Return to the right side of the beach and take a blue seed from the flower. Go up the winding path and click on the plant here, then grab the fruit before it flies away. Go back down and a ship will have arrived - get on board.

Ship

Talk to the captain and give him the blue seed. Notice the triangle symbols on the left wall. Leave the ship and click on the red bird on the beach, then go back to the ship and the captain will go over to the bird. Now you can examine the door behind him. Click on the latches in a specific order (random with each game) then go inside. Notice the triangle symbols here, then talk to the chef. Click on the flower (8/21). Now head down the stairs.

Grab the red rectangle from the shelves, click on the flower (9/21) and take the Jupiter sticker (6/11). Talk to the woman about everything, then give her the fruit. Take the lighter she puts on the desk. Look over at the round window and notice some more triangle symbols. Go back upstairs and out to the right. Talk to the boy here, then climb over the ladder to see the side of the ship. Click on the flower (10/21) and notice another set of triangle symbols. Climb back up and leave the ship.

Head back up the path to the left and give your flint to the man, then take the gold coin he drops. Use your stick on the fire to create a torch. Head right and then along the path to the left. Use your torch on the vines, then go through the door.

Go back outside and go to where you found the red fruit earlier. Head up the path further and notice the relative positions of the planets. Return to the statue in the shrine and adjust the sliders to match this:

After the statue rotates, take the gold nugget. Leave the shrine again, and head all the way right into the cave.

Cave

Go through to the back room and use the shovel to dig, then take the cone. Leave the back room and retrieve the cube from the recess just outside.

Ship

Give the gold nugget to the chef, then take the tentacle meat. Head out to the right and give the light tube to the boy. Look over the side of the boat and take the reflector. Back on the deck, put your gold coin into the viewer on the right. Use the dials to move the view around so you can see the writing on the side of the large shape in the sky. Take the Mercury sticker (8/11). Leave the boat again.

Give the tentacle meat to the dog, then pick up the blue bone. Go through the fourth doorway and insert your reflector in the space on the left pillar. Now click on each of the reflectors to make the red beam hit the eye on the door. Go through the new doorway. Use your blue bone on the broken tentacle of the statue here, then take the lumpy sphere from the statue's mouth. Next examine the dial on the right wall. Now you can board the spaceship.

Grab a book from the stand nearest you, then examine the bookshelf at the back. Put your extra book in the shelves, then rearrange the books so there are 2 touching each of the "2" symbols, and 1 touching each of the "1" symbols. Go through the hidden passage. Examine the astronaut toy and note the colors in its reflection. Climb up the ladder and click on the flower (15/21). Notice the series of face expressions on the poster over the bed. Click on the moth several times and you will see an extra symbol at the top of the poster.

Go down and back to the previous room, and follow the arrow to a back room which has a video projector. Take the Neptune sticker (9/11). Move the tentacle statue and press the button that is revealed, then take the bread from the hidden compartment that is revealed. Now examine the closed door. Take the developed film. Go out to the previous room and use this film in the projector. Watch the entire film, making sure you click on the flower (17/21) behind the girl who is singing. Go back downstairs and pour the water from your bottle on to the flower (18/21) in the pot. Wait here for the flower to bloom, then take the crowbar. Go upstairs, into the secret room, and up the ladder to the robot. Use the crowbar on the loose panel in the wall, then take the puzzle piece from behind it. Climb back down the ladder and examine the computer. Enter the password SHELL (seen in the movie), and look at the 4 symbols that are displayed. Click on the flower (19/21). Back out, then examine then computer again and enter the password SLEEP (hinted at by Dark City in the movie) Super Hacker.

Leave this room and enter the left room again. Examine the code box and enter the symbols you just saw on the computer: eye, sheep, waves, hand. Move aside everything else so you can take the button from inside the box. Also take the Mars sticker (10/11) and click on the flower (20/21). Go to the hidden room again and examine the astronaut toy. Insert the button, then press it. Take the pencil, and also click on the photograph of a flower (21/21) Flower Lover.

You now need to wait around 18 hours to allow all of the flowers to bloom. Go to the flower upstairs in the past, which will be the last one One of These Things is Not Like the Others.

Go back out of the past.

Spaceship

Examine the left box and insert the pencil, then take the Pluto sticker (11/11). Examine the middle box and insert the puzzle piece. Examine the right box and insert the ant. Talk to the astronaut again, then head through the doorway. Break the statue, then click on the portal and the spaceship will take off. Watch to the end of the credits and wait for a long time to eventually land Touchdown!.
