Wanted: A Wild Western Adventure is the second in a series of comedy wild west adventures starring Fenimore Fillmore. This comes after the previous game, 3 Skulls of the Toltecs. In this game, you ride into a town that is under threat by the evil Starek. The townsfolk are scared and looking for a hero, and you decide to rise to the call. The series continues with Fenimore Fillmore's Revenge. A new version of this game has also been released, Fenimore Fillmore: The Westerner.

Bannisters' Farm

Inside

Grab the rope from the bed rail, and the gun holster from the rack on the wall. Open the drawer in the desk and take the toy guns. Leave through the door to enter the kitchen. Talk to Stella about everything, then take the apple from the counter next to her. Also get the bellows from next to the fireplace, and the money from the drawer in the desk. Take your hat and head outside.

Outside

Look in the clothes basket on the ground, and take the sock. Get the bucket from next to the outhouse, and the log from nearby. In the open shed, get the saddle from the rail, and the rope and saw from the walls. Go over to your horse and place the saddle on its back. Get it to bite the apple, but it needs carrots in order to be ridden.

Use your bucket with the water pump, then use the pump to fill it with water. Get the bucket again, and use it on the crops. Repeat this a second time, and you should be able to collect 5 carrots. Feed these to the horse and ride to the Jones' Farm.

Alvin Jones' Farm

Talk to Joe and Alvin to get details on your quests. Now take money from both table drawers, as well as the top and bottom shelves of the closet by the wall. Also grab the lever from the fireplace. Head upstairs and pick up the basket, then move the ladder against the window. Try using the ladder, but you need your hat. In the side room, grab the money from the drawers. Go back downstairs and get your hat, then go upstairs and climb the ladder. Look at the rope and the pig/wheel, but you can't do anything here yet, so head back downstairs and outside.

Take the bucket from near the door, then talk to Alma. Use your log with the log holder next to the house, then cut it with the saw and get the two cut logs.

Bannisters' Farm

The most efficient way to sort out your carrot problem is to return here to The Bannisters' Farm and use the two buckets you have now collected and the water pump to produce 5 carrots at a time. Stock up to around 50 and you should never need to worry about carrots again.

School

Head straight into the school house to meet Rhiannon, and you will be beaten up. When you recover, search the children's desks to find a folding ruler, and the teacher's desk to get more money and a pen. Pick up your toy guns and hat, then go outside. Find another lever out the back, then talk to Annie, who is playing on the swing, to find out about Rhiannon, her dog Toby, and the Jones' pigsty.

Town (Starek City)

Walk down the main street, and the shady character will start following you around. Confront him to find out his name is Shorty. Now enter the sheriff's office.

Sheriff's Office

Speak to the Sheriff about everything. Go back outside and around the back of this building, and speak to Tom Postom through the open window. Head back around the front and enter the saloon.

Saloon

Speak to the barman, then try to go upstairs, but you will be stopped. Agree to pay 3 dollars for a bath and you will receive the master key. Now head upstairs. Enter the door on your right after using the key to unlock it. Grab the soap from over the first bath, and the matches from the chair near the middle of the room.

Leave this room and enter the room directly across the hall. Talk to the doctor about everything, and he will agree that if you take his tooth out, he will give you his Jessie James portrait. Go through the other door into his back room.

Search this room to find some money in the drawers and trunk, and get the key to Room #4 from the table. Leave through the other door and head straight across the hallway into the new room. You can find more money in this room. Also take the cushion from the chair by the bed. Now head downstairs and talk to the barman again. Buy some XXX Whiskey for $12.

Jackson's Store

Look around at everything, but don't buy yet - wait until you have more money. Talk to the shopkeeper to find out what you need to be able to purchase ammunition, dynamite and weapons to defend a farm. Buy all 3 of the newspapers and read them each twice to get hints and telegram numbers. You are almost out of money now, so head to the train station.

Train Station

Speak to the telegraphist through the little window and send telegrams to Aunt Filomena, The President, Edgar P Allan, Graduate Bull and Dr Hengelhoffer. If these options aren't all available, try reading your newspapers again. Don't bother sending one to Sam, he doesn't give you any money.

While you are waiting for return messages, head inside the train station. Pick up the specs from the table near the fireplace. Head out the back and pick up the log and fold-up wheelbarrow. Now go back and ask the telegraphist if you have anything waiting for you. Keep entering the building and coming out again until you get all 5 responses, 4 containing money and 1 containing a rhyme. Now that you have lots of money, go back to the store.

Jackson's Store

Enter the clothing department for $5 and take the black bowler hat, and also check out the photo developing machine downstairs. Buy the Tyrolean harness from the front of the store for $5, and the pliers from the back for $2. Now return to the saloon.

Saloon

Go straight upstairs to the doctor's room and pull out his tooth. Now you can take the Jessie James portrait and head back outside. Behind Jackson's Store you will find a maintenance truck - use this to travel via the train tracks.

Train Tracks

Bridge

When you first get on the truck two levers will be displayed. Select the right one and you will start travelling. After you stop moving, head down the hill behind the maintenance truck and you will reach some water. Place your basket on the beach, then walk into the water. Look at the trout that is swimming around - you need to hit the trout with your hand as it is passing so that it flies into the basket. Now pick up the basket and trout, and return to the truck.

Use the truck again, and this time select the left lever. Pick up the axe and the rope from in front of the shed. Use the truck again to return to town.

Town (Starek City)

Use a rope with the pulley over the double doors at the back of Jackson's Store. Open the gate and head inside. Take the rope and the climber's belt from inside here, then go back to your horse.

School

Go and find Annie on the swing and give her the Jessie James portrait. Now you can show the sock to her dog and follow the dog to the hideout. Use a rope on the entrance, then climb up and talk to the boys. They will eventually tell you where to find the guns. Go back to the left of the schoolhouse and enter the outhouse to find your guns. Return to your horse and you will see a carriage crash. After the conversation, get on your horse and head back to town.

Town (Starek City)

Enter Jackson's Store and buy the hydraulic jack from the crates near the front. Return to your horse.

Alvin Jones' Farm

Head straight into the caged shed next to the pigsty and place the trout on the bowl. When the pig sticks it head through, close the hatch to knock out the pig. Get your trout again, then head into the farmhouse. Go upstairs and open the door. Climb up the stairs and out the window. Use the Tyrolean harness on the rope, then use it again to slide down into the pigsty. Use a lever on the wheel to free it, then make sure you get your lever back (from the bottom right corner of the sty). Use your fold-up wheelbarrow on the wheel. While you are here, use the logholder in the backyard to hold your log while you saw it in half. Pick up both halves of the cut log. Use the wheelbarrow again to take the wheel to the accident site.

School

Use your hydraulic jack on the carriage to place it next to it, then use it again to raise the carriage. Place the wheel on the carriage, then walk around to the other side of it and take the doctor's jacket. Use your horse again.

Bannisters' Farm

Head inside and speak to Stella about everything, then grab your hat and head back outside. Put the dirty jacket in the clothes basket, and your soap on the sink, then go inside and speak to Stella again. Go back outside with your hat once more. Place the cut log on the white tree stump outside, then use your axe on it. Pick up both halves of the split log. Repeat this process so that you have 4 pieces of split log. Now talk to Stella, who should be outside at the sink. She will tell you to dry your jacket by the fire. Grab the wet jacket, and head inside again.

Place your split logs in the fireplace, then light them with a match and use the bellows to get the fire going. Now place the wet jacket on the stand next to the fire, then pick it up when it is dry. Go outside and use your horse.

Town (Starek City)

Talk to the stranger sitting at the table, and next speak to the barman. Give him a $5 tip, then speak to Willy again and buy the dynamite permit and the oil for robots ($25 each). Head out to the train tracks and get on the maintenance truck. Click on the left lever to go to the fair.

Train Tracks

Switch the can of robot oil on the ground with the adulterated oil you just bought from Willy. Speak to the fairman, then play the shooting gallery game. You need to win all 4 rounds of the game to get the Winchester 73 rifle.

Town

Get on your horse and leave town.

School

Speak to Livy, over next to the cart. Give her the black case, specs, black bowler hat and jacket, and you will try on the disguise, but need to look fatter. Give her the cushion and the costume is complete. You will automatically go to the ranch in the cart.

Starek's Ranch

Outside

After you fall out the window, pick up the lantern from the bench. Go over to the steps on the right side of the ranch, and head through the left door.

Kitchen

Take the money from the top left drawer of the stove, and from the left and right drawers of the desk behind Livy. Grab a carrot from the table, then speak to Livy. Try to take the book on Ancient Rome from the table, but Livy won't let you. Speak to her, and she will agree to swap the book for a sacred bone relic. Give her the tooth, then take the book. Before leaving, take the money from the cupboard beneath the glass door cabinet, and from both shelves inside the cabinet itself. Now head back outside. Walk back to the front of the ranch and climb up to Rhiannon's window.

Upstairs

Grab 4 lots of money from the red desk, then pick up the book on the Renaissance from the other desk. Cross the room and take the money from the closet, then head out the door near the fireplace. Head down the hallway and towards the entrance on the right. Pick up the book on Medieval History from the table, then head back to the hallway and through the door at the other end of the hall. Get money from the closet and the top right and bottom drawers. Also take the book on Prehistory from the bed, before leaving this room and heading down the nearby stairs.

Downstairs

Grab some money from the top drawer of desk in the foyer, then enter the room to the right of the desk (the den). Pick up the camera from the sofa near the fireplace, and the book on Ancient Greece from the chair near the desk. Take the money from 3 of the desk drawers, and 3 lots of money from the closet. Now head through the door to the right of the fireplace, into the library. Walk over to the right of the fireplace, and you will see a bookcase with several books missing. Insert the 5 books you have collected. Now use the bookshelf. From reading the Evening Star newspaper that you bought earlier, you know to click on the books in this order: Prehistoric, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Medieval, Renacentist and Modern. Head into the dark passage and use the lantern from your inventory, then continue and you will end up next to your horse.

Town (Starek City)

Jackson's Store

Go to the back of the store and buy a mobile telegraph for $8 and a launcher belt for $12.

Saloon

Talk to Whiskers at the bar, and start a duel. Fighting involves answering statements with rhyming insults, and initially you won't have all the appropriate answers, but keep playing and you will learn all of them, then eventually have a question that they cannot answer. Once you have beaten Whiskers, leave the saloon and come back inside again. You should find Fatty ready to challenge you. If you have not learned everything you need from Whiskers, he will still be there, so challenge him again. After you beat Fatty, the second opponent, leave and come back again. Keep beating him until you know all the answers and there is no one standing at the bar to challenge you.

Sheriff's Office

Talk to the Sheriff about everything.

Train Tracks

Bridge

Use the maintenance truck to get to the bridge. Use your climbing belt on the pole next to the train tracks. Use the mobile phone on the connection, and send 4 telegrams. Climb back down and pick up the climbing belt from the base of the pole. Head back to town.

Use the iron key on the door to get inside. Take money from the glass cabinet left of the front door, 2 of the drawers of the gun cabinet, the top right drawer of the Sheriff's main desk, and the 2 top drawers of the desk near the front door. Also make sure you get the red cape from the middle drawer of the gun cabinet, and the Sheriff's appointment from the wall left of the cabinet. Head back outside and use the red cape on the bull out the back.

Train Station

Speak to the Sheriff about everything. Now find your horse and leave town.

Alvin Jones' Farm

Head inside and speak to the guys about Tom, then head upstairs. Enter the bedroom and then open the closet and talk to Tom. Give him the pen, Sheriff's appointment and TNT permit. Open the closet again to get the forged TNT permit, then leave the farm.

Town (Starek City)

Saloon

Speak to the fairman at the bar and challenge him to a duel. After you have beaten him, challenge Shorty to a duel (seated at the other table). Once you beat him, he will stop following you around town.

Bank

Speak to the banker about everything, then use your camera on him.

Jackson's Store

Head into the clothing department, then go down the ladder to the bottom floor. Use the photographic plate with the developing machine, then use the machine to develop a picture of the banker.

Bank

Ask the banker to turn off the fans, and he will leave his post temporarily. Put the photo over the front of the security camera. When the banker returns, use your pistols on him. Now go to the right to find the small doorway leading to the secure area of the bank. The door is locked, so get a lever from your inventory and use it to pry open the door. Open the top left drawer of the nearest desk and take the SISA card. Also take the check from the top right drawer. Walk towards the other desk, and take the money from the closet behind it.

Jackson's Store

Give the TNT permit and check to the storekeeper, and he will return with the dynamite. Now give him your SISA card and he will reveal a lot more weapons.

Outside Town

When you regain control, you need to kill 4 guys, then throw the dynamite. Walk towards the mine shaft to shoot the first enemy, then head up the hill to shoot Whiskers, and a 3rd guy who appears from behind the beam. Keep going to the top of the cliff to shoot the 4th guy behind a crate. Once he is dead you will automatically throw the dynamite.

Town (Starek City)

You will automatically end up in town, but just get back on your horse straight away.

Alvin Jones' Farm

Walk towards the house, and look down into the trench on your left. Pick up the Toltec foot. Speak to Joe about everything, then return to your horse.

Town (Starek City)

Head out the back to the maintenance truck and use it to go to the bridge.

Train Tracks

Bridge

Head down the hill to the water, and use the belt launcher on the bridge, then use the dynamite on the bridge. Walk back up towards the train tracks, and head on to the ledge away from the bridge. Pull out the Winchester and you will crouch behind the nearby rock. Shoot the dynamite to destroy the bridge. Use the maintenance truck to return to town, then immediately use it again to return to the bridge.
