Chapter 1
After the car crash, walk towards the path and follow it to find a small house. Look in the upstairs window to see a figure there, before heading inside. Head over to the right and pick up the flashlight from the floor - use this only when you need it, or you risk running out of batteries by the end of the game (although you will also find many along the way).
Turn on the light switch on the wall here to reveal a kitchen. Search the bottom right cupboards to find a battery. Continue into the lounge room, which has a fireplace. Open the clock on the wall and take the gear from inside. Search the display cabinets to find another battery, which you will need to crouch to pick up. Open the small hatch in the corner of this room. Crawl to the end to find a room with a hole in the wall. Search the cupboard here to find a fuse (1/4).
Return to the living room, then out to the entrance hall. Turn on the light switch near the base of the stairs, then head upstairs and go left. The small bedroom to the left here contains nothing useful. Continue down the corridor and enter the room on the right. Read the letter dated July 10th. Search the bedside tables to find another battery. Leave this room and enter the storeroom opposite - in here you can find a fuse (2/4) inside a box on the table, and a battery on the floor near the carpet.
Next head back past the stairs on the upper landing. Turn down the left corridor and briefly explore a bathroom through the first door on the left. Continue through the second door on the left and open the inner doors to find a battery on the floor and a stuck hatch. Go back to the main hallway and through the left door into another bedroom. Go through the wardrobe into a secret room and read the letter dated July 12th. Pick up the simple key from here. Go back out to the upstairs hallway and look in the left room to find another small bedroom. Search the desk drawers to get another fuse (3/4). The room on the right is another bedroom with nothing useful.
Head back downstairs, and now through the door to the right. Continue down the corridor to find a small empty bathroom on the left, and a study on the right. Look through the hole in the wall here. Search the top left desk drawer to find another battery. Come back to the first door and go through into a library. Find a book you can move in the far bookcase, and it will slide to the right. Use your simple key to open the small hatch here. In this storeroom, pick up another battery, and the last fuse (4/4).
The electricity will now go off. Head back to the entrance hall, and the door beneath the stairs on the right will be open. Head down into the basement.
The first room on the left contains nothing useful. Keep following the left wall and you will find the fuse box. Insert all 4 fuses and turn the electricity back on. Look in the fallen red paint tin to the left and pick up the bronze key.
Go back up out of the basement. Continue upstairs and use the bronze key on the door straight ahead. Head up to the attic and go through the wooden door. Read the note on the desk, then open the chest to find a note with a 4-digit code (random with each game). Return to the basement and find the locked door. Use the combination lock and enter the code you just saw, then open the door.
Look in the room to the right and search the rooms. Come back out and open the small panel next to the door, then insert the gear and open the door.
Chapter 2
Go forward and continue going left as indicated by the figure. Search the tunnel on the left to find a battery. Come back out and go through the nearby door to find a storeroom. In here, pick up another battery and a wooden number. Leave this room and head back along the first sewer, turning left to see the figure in the water ahead.
There is a locked cover on a tunnel to the left. Keep going forward and through another door into a small room. Insert the number in the wooden board to reveal a 4-digit code (random with each game). Go back to the locked cover and enter the code you just saw, then go through.
Turn right at the end, then go through a door on the right. On the table, pick up the wheel and bolt and read the letter dated July 15th. Also take note of the map of the sewers - you are currently at the X. Go back out and turn right, then enter the 3rd tunnel at the end. Go straight ahead to reach a dead end. Turn the wheel on the brass post. Attach your wheel and bolt to the next post, then turn it as well. Now go down into the dry segment and pick up the simple key. Go back along the corridor and turn left. Go to the end and use your key in the door.
Chapter 3
Search the second room on the right, looking in the first locker for a battery. Look on the bed in the hallway to find another battery, and read the letter dated July 16th. Go through the next door and head up the stairs to the first landing.
Head through the wooden door straight ahead. Search the right desk drawers to find a 3-number code (random with each game). Also search the left filing cabinets to get a wire (1/2). Make sure you open 1 of the wardrobe doors and remember where to find this wardrobe. Leave this room and continue down the hall to the right. Search the room with the metal door to find a battery on the bed.
Return to the stairs and go back down. Turn right at the bottom and enter the room on the right. Open the bottom right door in here, then crawl through to find a safe. Open this with the code you just found, and take out the simple key. Leave this room and then immediately run upstairs into the room with the wardrobe. Get inside the wardrobe and close the door behind you. Wait here until the music returns to normal.
Go back to the stairs and head up to the top level. Go to the left end and look behind some fallen chairs to find another wire (2/2). Open the nearest metal door and go inside. Attach your 2 wires to the device on the wall. Use all of the switches (switches 4 and 7 are the important ones).
There are 2 ways to end the game:
- Enter room 7 at the far left. Read the notes on the floor dated July 20th, and on the bed dated July 23rd. Try to leave the room and you will die.
- Enter room 4 at the far right. Read the notes on the floor dated July 20th and July 23rd. Try to leave the room and you will be captured.
Chapter 4
Quickly run around to the left and take the keys from the shelf. Run back to the car and use it to escape.
