NAIRI: Tower of Shirin is a fantasy point-and-click adventure set in a world where animals and humans communicate and live side-by-side. You play as Nairi, a young upper class girl who must flee to avoid capture by the Royal Guard and forge a new life. There are 20 Steam Achievements, all documented in the walkthrough below.

Escape

Climb out your bedroom window, then go through the open door on the left of the factory. Look around, and Fredrick will smuggle you out The Runaway.

Cats' Hideout

Kick out the left of the crate to escape. Remove the boards with cat paws on them to reveal a rope. Go right and take the dagger from the wall The First of Many. Use your dagger on the drapery here to reveal some boards over a possible exit. Return left and use the dagger on the rope. Pull the rope 4 times, then go up the stairs.

Look at the purple carpet on the floor and move it to reveal some rotten floorboards. Go through the door to the left and use your dagger to cut the rope so you end up with a key. Return right, then go through the cat-shaped archway. Read the note on the left wall near the closed gate - this tells you the order in which to press the 4 buttons around the room:

  1. Back left, near the bookshelf
  2. Right, over the cat archway
  3. Back right, beneath the window
  4. Left, over the workbench

Now take the wooden key from over the crank on the left. Use the wooden key on the crank, then go through the gate to reach the roof. Look through the telescope, then take the crowbar before returning inside. Go right, then use your crowbar on the rotten floorboards and climb down to return to the basement. Go right and use the crowbar on the boards, then go through. Approach the ladder and use your key on the padlock The Great Escape.

After the cutscene, talk to Omar and Nur, then go through the doorway and talk to Riyad. Head up to the roof to talk to Asim. The next morning you will be quizzed on the plan, so select these options:

  • The poor district
  • Find Rex around the Wild Duck tavern
  • A rat with a funny turban

Your friends will then say their goodbyes Welcome Home. Head forward twice to return to the city.

Poor District at Night

Go right and down the stairs to find a big statue. Take a coin (1/61) from the left street light Oh, Shiny!, and another coin (2/61) from the wall grate on the right. Go forward past the statue.

Soluna Tower

Search the lit window for a coin (3/61) and the barrels on the right for another coin (4/61). Try to approach the tower, but you will be stopped by the guards. Go back and then head to the right.

Duck District

Ignore the thugs and continue along the path. On the next screen, search the barred window for a coin (5/61). Head right to find a merchant, and search his bag for a coin (6/61), then the light above him for another coin (7/61). Buy a lock pick and a bunch of lollipops from the merchant.

Head left and talk to Bill, who wants you to find him something cool. Go through the archway ahead. Search the bucket to find a coin (8/61) and the sacks to find another coin (9/61). Pick up the hat and the jar of glue. Go back until you find the group of 3 ducks and give them the lollipops. Now combine the glue and hat They Go Together, and then the lollipop sticks and hat. Go and give your cool hat to Bill.

Now follow the duck symbol to the left. Search the hanging pots to find a coin (10/61). Pick up the eye screw from the ground, then continue up the stairs and through another archway. Search the left barrel for one more coin (11/61) before heading inside.

The Wild Duck

Search the pink jug hanging on the wall to find a coin (12/61) and the silver pot at the top of the stairs for another coin (13/61). Go upstairs and search the small pot on the far right for yet another coin (14/61). Go left and find a coin (15/61) in the teapot on the table, and another coin (16/61) in the left hanging lantern. Talk to Reks, then go through the door to the right.

Search the cannister beneath the left table to find a coin (17/61) and the teapot on the right table to find another coin (18/61). Look at the sketches on the wall, then talk to Rex. Talk to him again and offer him your necklace The Notorious Scholar. Go back outside.

Duck District

Return to where you gave the thugs the lollipops, then go left. Talk to Chubs, then search the sack that was behind him to find a coin (19/61). Enter the shack and search the small wooden holder on the wall to find another coin (20/61). Use your lock pick on the lock, then open the window shutters. Take another eye screw from the right wall, and also pick up the shovel and drill. Go back outside, and Rex will protect you during the confrontation with the thugs. Return to The Wild Duck.

The Wild Duck

Go upstairs and use your dagger on the rope around the large pillar, then go outside again.

Duck District

Enter the shack again. Use the drill on both the left and right ends of the window sill, then attach your 2 eye screws to the holes. Place the shovel through the eye screws. Use your rope on the shovel. Now you can climb out the window.

Soluna Tower

Go forward, then search the barrels to the right of the archway to find a coin (21/61). Go through the archway, then examine the indentation in the middle of the mural. Climb down the stairs.

Beneath the Tower

Continue through the door ahead to see a pair of statues. Ignore the lever for now and go through to the sun hallway.

Click on the skeleton to find a coin (22/61). Go forward twice and take the harp. Go back once and move the green lever down, then go back twice more. Now move the red lever down so you can go through to the moon hallway.

Grab a coin (23/61) from the large urn on the left. Go forward and get another coin (24/61) from the skeleton here. Pick up the brush from the right, then go forward and find a coin (25/61) in a teddy bear. Continue forward once more. Pick up a stone fragment, then go right. There is a grid of symbols on the wall here, and you need to press them in the order they appear on the white line (starting from this position). To review them all, use the red lever and green lever to return along the sun hallway. Use your brush to uncover the hidden symbol. Make sure you leave both the green and red levers in their down positions when you are done. Return to the grid and press the symbols in this order:

Move the blue lever down and go left. Search the skeleton here for another coin (26/61). Go forward and right, then pick up another stone fragment. Leave this room again and move the orange lever down, so you can go back and through an opened door to the left.

From here, go back until you reach a stone door on the left. Use your glue to combine your 3 stone fragments, then use the stone key in the stone door. Go forward twice, left and forward. Move the orange lever up, then go through and search the skeleton to find a golden key. Leave the room, pull the orange lever down again, then go back and right, and move the blue lever up. Head back, left and back twice. Use your golden key on the golden lock. Go through the door and find a coin (27/61) in the blue mushrooms.

Go left again and examine the indentation in the pedestal, using your necklace here. After the vision, use your necklace on the blue crystals here to realize you are viewing the past. Go back twice, forward and right. Use your necklace on the blue crystals here and talk to the priestess to learn Mother's Song. End the vision and return left, forward and right. Use your necklace on some more blue crystals and talk to the Priest. End the vision and search the skeleton's bum to find a stone dial. Go forward and move the blue lever down, then continue left and forward. Move the orange lever up, then go through the door. Use your necklace on the blue crystals here. Talk to the acolyte, then use the harp to play music for her. End the vision, then search the skeleton to find a water charm.

Leave the room and head back, right, back twice, left and back twice. Put the water charm in the front of the fountain and it will overflow with water. Go forward twice, right and forward twice more. Continue left, forward and right, then touch the mural. Now leave the room and move the orange lever down. Head back and right, so you can take the Lunai Orb. Go left twice and insert your stone dial in the pedestal on the left. Rotate the discs to make a complete picture. Head through the archway.

Click on the skeletons here to find a coin (28/61) and another coin (29/61). Take the Solai Orb. Now make your way back to the overflowing fountain and get the water charm again. Go back outside to the big statue and insert your Lunai Orb on the left and Solai Orb on the right. Take the Noorian Scroll that appears, then go back to leave The Ancient Scroll.

Dreaming

Go back to leave your bedroom and collect Muffin the seal. Go through the door to the right to find Cooper the rat. Go through the door in the back to find Wally the duck. Head back twice and down the stairs, then back once more and pick up Pen-Pen the penguin. Go left to the bathroom and collect Momo the cat. Now return to your bedroom and talk to Sami The Treasure Hunt.

The Basement

Look up and take the bamboo stick, then use this to get the key. Look down again and use the key on the lock to get free. Move the chair beneath the window, then turn around and go upstairs. After the conversation, take your bag and you will go back downstairs. Use your lock pick on the cell door, then enter the cell. Use the dagger to put the pendulum's cord. Talk to Rex and select these options:

  • Ask about his name
  • Ask about his studies
  • Ask him about... me

Turn around and use the pendulum on the 4 screws around the window, then climb outside Beware of the White Mask.

Poor District in Daylight

The Wild Duck

Look around the room, then go downstairs and outside.

Duck District

Go back all the way to the large statue, then head left.

The Bazaar

Pick up a coin (30/61) from the ground, and another coin (31/61) from the plant on the left. Head towards the large doors ahead and find a hidden coin (32/61) in the sun symbol over the doors. Go through the doors into the market and search the colorful wares hanging in the second right stall to find a coin (33/61). Also look in the plant on the right for another coin (34/61).

Continue forward and talk to Esma. Search the golden urn on the left for a coin (35/61), then head through the red curtains on the left The VIP Club. Talk to Lola, and pay 2 coins to reveal each of the 8 pictures behind the curtains at the top The Connoisseur. Go back to leave the club, then back 3 more times and left through the door beneath the orange shade.

Pick up a coin (36/61) from the metal bucket on the left, another coin (37/61) from the teapot on the table, and a third coin (38/61) from the wooden crate on the right. Talk to Sayo She's Got Attitude. Head back outside, then go back and right.

Duck District

Continue forward and left to return to the old shack, then head right. Search the lantern on the ground for a coin (39/61), then talk to Smoke and Akif - you will need ration cards to be allowed through. Head back to The Wild Duck.

The Wild Duck

Go upstairs and talk to Bob, then go downstairs and talk to Bill, who wants something in exchange for the hat. Talk to the bartender and ask for something that makes him feel part of the gang. Pay 3 coins for the bottle, then give it to Bill A Cool Hat. Go back upstairs and give the hat to Bob in exchange for some ration cards. Leave the bar again.

Duck District

Go back to the shack and head right, then give the ration cards to Smoke.

Zakat District

Go through the archway on the right. Search the large urn on the right for a coin (40/61). There is an achievement for finding a total of 40 coins The Collector. Look in the baskets in the background to find another coin (41/61). Talk to Gertrude, who will give you a washing bat. Go back, then head through the archway on the left. Find a coin (42/61) in the lantern on the left. Try to take the drawing on the ground, then talk to Jerry. Go through the door here and search the plant on the table for one coin (43/61) and the doll on the high shelf for another coin (44/61). Talk to Mei, then go back to the fountain.

Head through the middle archway and talk to Ali, who wants you to collect 3 drawings. Search the drain pipe for a coin (45/61), and the lantern for another coin (46/61). Go left to find an old warehouse. Search the crate outside for a coin (47/61), then head inside. Search the open crate here to find another coin (48/61), then leave and return to the right. Continue right to find the hideout. Pick up the drawing from the ground. Search the Zakat poster for a coin (49/61) and the barrels on the right for another coin (50/61). Use the washing bat on Khalil to wake him up - he will return to his mother if you find him a guitar.

Return back and go through the middle archway to reach another fountain. Talk to Gunther twice, and he will join you Penguin Paradox. Now talk to Fred and Barney and pay 5 coins for their drawing. Search the stacked crates for a coin (51/61) and the shuttered window for another coin (52/61). Head through the left archway and search the large barrel for yet another coin (53/61) then head inside. Examine the left poster for a coin (54/61). Try to talk to Borak, but he wants you to leave.

Go back and then through the right archway. Click on the school sign to reveal a coin (55/61). Go left and examine the left lantern for a coin (56/61) and the tip of the statue's staff for another coin (57/61). Talk to Bella, who is sitting on the edge of the fountain. Say that you are hungry, and you will end up with some dumplings. Enter the house to the left and talk to Bahirah, who wants companionship. Give her Gunther, and you will get an empty makeup container. While you are here, search the pink roses for a coin (58/61) and the oranges for another coin (59/61).

Head back twice, then enter the school on the right. Search the pictures on the left wall for a coin (60/61) and the vase on the right for the last coin (61/61). Talk to Judy (the yellow bird with the makeup) - she needs a container and some pigments to make you some makeup. Go back 4 times and left to return to Jerry. Give him the dumplings in exchange for his drawing. Now go back and then forward, and give all 3 drawings to Ali, and you will receive some pigments. Return to the school and give the makeup container and pigments to Judy, and she will give you some makeup.

Head all the way back out of the Zakat District again, and head straight to the bar.

The Wild Duck

Talk to the guitar-playing Syl, who will trade his guitar for a slice of melon. Now head through the Duck District to the bazaar.

The Bazaar

Go through the big doors and talk to Shin, who will trade a slide of melon for a date - he will give you a romantic letter to deliver for him. Head back past the old shack to the Zakat District once more.

Zakat District

Go left from the fountain and through the door next to Jerry. Give the letter to Mei, then give her the makeup. Return through the Duck District to the bazaar.

The Bazaar

Talk to Shin to receive your slice of melon.

The Wild Duck

Give the slice of melon to Syl Chickpea. Now exchange your washing bat for the guitar once Syl is asleep.

Zakat District

From the entrance, go forward and right. Give the guitar to Khalil. Go back twice and right, then talk to Gertrude. Now go back, forward and left, then enter the warehouse again. Examine the big crate that is slightly tilted, and look under it, the move the hay to reveal a secret hatch. From here, go back, right, forward, left and inside the next building. Talk to Borak, selecting these options:

  • We'll give something back
  • Information
  • About your wife
  • She's having a guest

Follow him back to his house by going outside, back, right, left and into the house. You will receive a chain cutter. Go back 3 times, left and into the warehouse again, then use the chain cutter on the chains A Stash of Relics.

Night Time Assault

Go inside Karim's hideout. You will end up back near the statue at the entrance to the Poor District. Head past the statue.

Soluna Tower

Go over the bridge into the tower. You will eventually reach the top.

Sanctum of Noora

From the main gate, there are 4 available exits. Start by going to the lower right. Pick up a brick from the ground here, then examine all 5 of the colored book covers. Examine the pedestal here to see a puzzle - you need to rearrange the symbols in the correct order from left to right, by dragging them around the maze. The order is determined by the correct sequence of events depicted on the covers of the books:

  1. Woman
  2. Soluna
  3. Mourner
  4. Temple
  5. Crystal

Take the square stone from inside the pedestal, then back out of this room.

Head to the top right. Pick up the vase on the left, the brick from the middle of the statue, and 2 diagrams in a container to the right. Note that there are 10 red dots on the statue, then examine the pedestal on the right to see another puzzle - you need to drag the rose symbol over the numbered squares to add up to just 10. Take it around to depress the only available 3 tile, then around to the only available 7 tile. Take the square stone from inside the pedestal, then back out of this room.

Go to the top left. Fill your vase with water from the waterfall. Cut all 3 small ropes with your dagger, then open the coffin and take note of the 12 symbols - you will also receive a glowing key. Examine the pedestal on the right to see another puzzle - you need to drag the 2 symbols over the ones adjacent to them on the skeleton in the coffin. Drag the left symbol to the second one from the left across the top. Drag the right symbol to the one in the bottom right corner. Take the square stone from inside the pedestal, then back out of this room.

Go to the bottom left. Use the glowing key in the lock, then pour water from your vase into the funnel at the top left. Examine the pedestal to see yet another puzzle - you need to drag the water symbol down to the bottom, following the path indicated by the water from the vase. Go down through the far left hole in the first row, then the far right hole in the second row, the second hole from the left in the third row, the far right hole in the fourth row, and the far left hole again at the bottom. Take the square stone from inside the pedestal, then back out of this room.

Place your 4 square stones in the altar in front of the main gate. Now take the Symbol Lexicon from the front of the altar. Examine this in your inventory to see a dictionary converting symbols to glyphs. Examine the top of the altar, and click the four tiles matching the symbols at the top:

Ignore the new mechanism that appears in the altar, and head through the gate.

Shrine of Soluna

Talk to the caretaker, who will give you a fancy key.

Sanctum of Noora

Examine the mechanism in the altar. Drag the tile with 2 faces over the top left symbol, then go to the top left. Use your fancy key in the lock on the left, and a basin will rise around the statue, filling with water from the waterfall. You now need to click on the faces on the panel to the left in the same order they appear from left to right on the statue:

Return to the altar and drag the tile with 2 faces over the bottom left symbol, then go to the bottom left. Now you can climb the stairs to the chest to retrieve a piece of the cipher.

Return to the altar and drag the tile with the coffin over the bottom left symbol, then go to the bottom left. Examine the statue in the far left to find a brick. Examine the statue in the far right to find a blue stone.

Return to the altar and drag the tile with the Soluna glyph over the top right symbol, then go to the top right. Insert your 3 bricks in the holes in the ground to reveal a tunnel that goes nowhere.

Return to the altar and drag the tile with the bird over the bottom right symbol, then go to the bottom right. Place the blue stone on the neck of the right statue, then examine its base. Drag the wind symbol to the pedestal at the bottom left, then over the 4 tile, over the 1 tile, and finally to the bird at the bottom right. Take another piece of the cipher.

Return to the altar and drag the tile with the Soluna glyph over the bottom right symbol, then go to the bottom right. Go through the tunnel to get a container of something warm. Use this in the pedestal to the right, then examine it to see another puzzle - you need to create a complete path from the bottom left to the top right, by sliding around some of the tiles. The correct path starts by going right rather than up, and not all paths need to be completed. Once you are done, take another piece of the cipher. Leave here and go through the main gate again.

Shrine of Soluna

In your inventory, combine all 3 pieces of the cipher. Now use the information from the cipher and the lexicon, then press the tiles on the left in this order:
