Entrance
There is an achievement for starting the game Welcome.
Go over to the talking book in the second window recess, which will ask you to find a cube. Turn around and look along the main bench to find a letter (1/6) and a bell (1/9). Lift up the door at the left side of the bench, then walk through behind it. Look on the open part of the rear bench to find the Sun card (1/15). The next door here is closed, so head back out from behind the bench.
Walk upstairs and find a glass cabinet door you can open so you can take the Fool card (2/15). Open the next glass cabinet door to the right and remove the 2 jars, then look at the star shape behind them - if you combine the numbers here with the letters on the matching symbol for the folding door at the end of the bench downstairs, you get the word ELEMENT. Continue further along the upstairs landing and look at a desk around the left corner. Here you can pick up the Judgement card (3/15). Look at the combination lock on the door ahead, and enter the word ELEMENT. Now head through the door.
Look at the chest of drawers on the right and pick up the Justice card (4/15). Look at the paper here, which shows an infinity symbol with the numbers 920 and 700 in the loops. Examine the large bookshelf at the end of this room to find a horn (2/9).
Return downstairs and go to the first window recess to see a pink glowing device with two dials beneath it. Rotate the clock hands to show the 9:20 on the left and 7:00 on the right. Now take the cube and place it in your inventory. Go back upstairs and insert the cube on the panel on the first door. Take the cube back, and the door will open. Head through.
Laboratory
Look near some large metal canisters on the left to find the Lovers card (5/15). Cross the room and look in the bookcase to find the Queen of Pentacles card (6/15) and another letter (2/6).
Now look at the recipe book to see some instructions, then use the pot to brew a potion. Turn the page of the recipe book to the "Light Potion", and follow these steps:
- Add red crystals to turn the fire red
- Use the latch to set the fire intensity to 2
- Add sulfur, mushroom and chalk to the pot
- Stir the pot (click when the diamond is in the bracket)
If you click outside the bracket you must add the ingredients again
If you click in the +1 section you will get a potion you can use twice Double Quantity
Now take and drink the light potion (1/7). Make several more light potions while you are here (using the quick brew button). Throw one straight up in the air so that it lands on you (or throw it at someone else if you are playing cooperatively) Think Fast. Go down the stairs and through the next door into another new area.
Courtyard
Look beneath the bench on the right to find the Hanged Man card (7/15). Look at the crates just to the left of the bench to find the next letter (3/6), and a grimoire (3/9). Hanging in the corner of the room is an orange banner with 2 symbols.
Step down into the dark courtyard. Put a light potion in the stand in the middle. After the area has lit up, go over towards the King and Queen statues. Look down to the right and collect the Emperor card (8/15). Go to the other opening from the courtyard and insert your cube on the stone panel. Take the cube back again, then take the honeycomb. Note the small tunnel to the left here - you cannot fit down this yet. Head back up to the laboratory.
Laboratory
Use the pot to brew another potion. Turn the page of the recipe book to the "Shrink Potion", and follow these steps:
- Add blue crystals to turn the fire blue
- Use the latch to set the fire intensity to 1
- Add honeycomb, rat tail and mandrake
- Stir the pot successfully
Now take and drink shrink potion (2/7). Make several more shrink potions while you are here (using the quick brew button). Go back down to the courtyard.
Courtyard
Go to the small tunnel. Drink a shrink potion, then run down the tunnel to reach a new room.
Study
Look on the bench to the right to find a magical sphere (4/9). Look on a crate on the floor on the opposite side of the room to find the Tower card (9/15). Look on a barrel in the corner of the room to find an athame (5/9).
Next examine the glass case with a ship. Turn the lever on the end, and a cupboard below will open. Take out the paper and read it. Based on this paper, go to the chest on the other side of the room and press the buttons in this order:
- Moon
- Sun
- Ship
- Shell
- Rings
- Bell
Take the rotten vine from inside the chest. Unlatch the door here to be able to return to the entrance, then go back around to the laboratory again.
Laboratory
Use the pot to brew the next potion. Turn the page of the recipe book to the "Decay Potion", and follow these steps:
- Add green crystals to turn the fire green
- Use the latch to set the fire intensity to 2
- Add rotten vine, chicken leg and bat wing
- Stir the pot successfully
Now take and drink the decay potion (3/7). Make several more decay potions while you are here (using the quick brew button). Head down to the courtyard.
Courtyard
Go to the large vines off one side of the courtyard and use the decay potion on them. Use your cube on the stone panel. Take the cube back again, then take the pinecone. Note the large hexagon on the floor here. Head back up to the laboratory.
Laboratory
Use the pot to brew the next potion. Turn the page of the recipe book to the "Alchemical Sight Potion", and follow these steps:
- Add blue crystals to turn the fire blue
- Use the latch to set the fire intensity to 3
- Add pinecone, bat wing and iguana egg
- Stir the pot successfully
Now take and drink the alchemical sight potion (4/7) - you can disable the sight and reuse it at any time until it runs out. Make several more alchemical sight potions while you are here (using the quick brew button). Go back to the upstairs part of the entrance.
Entrance
Use your alchemical sight, and look at the two glowing areas in the corridor off the back of the upstairs part of the entrance. Click on the illusion (1/9) on the wall to reveal a green banner. Click on the illusion (2/9) in the shelf to reveal a vase. Pick up the vase and throw it, then pick up the key from inside. Go around to the study.
Study
Use your alchemical sight and click on an illusion (3/9) on the wall to reveal a blue banner. Now head back to the laboratory.
Laboratory
Use your key on the locked door in the back of this room, then head upstairs.
Tower of Elements
There is a central pedestal here with symbols on the surrounding walls. Use your alchemical sight and click on an illusion (4/9) on the pedestal to reveal a unicorn statue. After canceling the alchemical sight, take the charged horn from the unicorn statue. Head back to the upstairs part of the entrance.
Entrance
Use the charged horn on the second door in the corridor off the upstairs part of the entrance. Remove the horn again, then enter the new room.
Steam Room
Use your alchemical sight again, and click on the next illusion (5/9) on the wall to reveal a red banner, and the illusion (6/9) on the door to reveal another cube panel. Insert your cube into the panel. Take the cube back, then go through the next door.
Constellation Room
Find a talisman (6/9) on the small table to the right. Look on a crate in the opposite corner to find a letter (4/6), and in the shelves above to get the Empress card (10/15). Open the curtain to let light into the room, then examine the machine on the small desk. You need to press the buttons on the round dial in the order matching the constellations shown on the display above. If you think of the dial as a clock, press the buttons in this order:
- 2 o'clock
- 8 o'clock
- 10 o'clock
- 12 o'clock
- 3 o'clock
Take the silver coin, then return to the previous room.
Steam Room
Examine the large device that is leaking steam. There are 3 stages to getting this machine working properly. For the first stage, you need to gradually increase the bottom-left gauge from 0 up to 6, by moving levers depending on where the steam is leaking from:
- Bottom-Left Steam: Use the 1st lever
- Top-Left Steam: Use the 2nd lever
- Top-Right Steam: Use the 3rd lever
- Bottom-Right Steam: Use the 4th lever
For the second stage, you need to gradually increase the top-right gauge from 0 to 60, by moving levers depending on the color of the lights around the gauge:
- Green Lights: Use the 1st lever
- Blue Lights: Use the 2nd lever
- Yellow Lights: Use the 3rd lever
- Red Lights: Use the 4th lever
For the third stage, use your alchemical sight and click on the illusion (7/9) on the top-left panel to reveal the gauge. There are also several glowing symbols on the front of the machine. You need to use the levers to move the 4 dials so they form the 4 symbols when overlying different parts of the gauge. From the starting position:
- Use the 1st lever 4 times
- Use the 2nd lever 3 times
- Use the 3rd lever 2 times
- Use the 4th lever 1 time
You will now have power to the lever on the other side of the room. Pull this lever to the left, then go through the round doorway.
Night & Day Room
Go to the far end of the room and read the letter (5/6) on the ledge. Come back half way and go up the stairs to the side. Find the Magician card (11/15) on the side ledge. Use a decay potion on the vines around the small cabinet, then open the cabinet and take out the Sun Eye.
Leave the room and pull the lever just outside to the right. Re-enter the room and it will have changed to a night-time version. Go half way along the room and up the side stairs. Use your alchemical sight and click on the illusion (8/9) to reveal another small cabinet. Open this and take out the Moon Eye.
Go down to the chest in the middle of the room and spin the segments so the symbols all line up properly (as you are spinning them, the band facing you most directly will have 1, 2, 1 and 3 bars). Take the feather from inside the chest. Return to the upstairs part of the entrance.
Entrance
Find the lion on the wall of the upstairs corridor. Insert the two eyes, then take the gold coin. Return to the laboratory.
Laboratory
Use the pot to brew the next potion. Turn the page of the recipe book to the "Lift Potion", and follow these steps:
- Add blue crystals to turn the fire blue
- Use the latch to set the fire intensity to 1
- Add feather, badger tooth and iguana egg
- Stir the pot successfully
Now take and drink the lift potion (5/7). Make several more lift potions while you are here (using the quick brew button). Go back down to the courtyard.
Courtyard
Use the shrink potion on the large hexagon, then pick it up. Go up to the bench at the top section of the courtyard and insert the hexagon into the machine. You need to adjust the 4 hexagons so that the green display shows the top symbol from the orange banner in this room. Now pull the lever on the machine, and pick up the Wind Gem that is created.
Use the machine again, setting the hexagons to create the top symbol from the green banner. Pull the lever and pick up the Earth Gem that is created. Repeat this process to create the top symbol from the blue banner, and take the Water Gem. Finally create the top symbol from the red banner, and take the Fire Gem.
Go back down to the King and Queen statues. Insert your silver coin and gold coin, then use the horn, and it will become a charged horn.
Stand in the middle of the courtyard and drink a lift potion so you can reach the platform above. Take the Moon card (12/15) from the left railing. Insert your cube on the panel in the door, then take it back again. Now take the ammonite fossil, and return to the laboratory.
Laboratory
Use the pot to brew the next potion. Turn the page of the recipe book to the "Time Potion", and follow these steps:
- Add green crystals to turn the fire green
- Use the latch to set the fire intensity to 3
- Add ammonite, badger tooth and sulfur
- Stir the pot successfully
Now take and drink the time potion (6/7). Make several more time potions while you are here (using the quick brew button). Head around to the constellation room.
Constellation Room
Use a time potion on the broken door. Insert your cube on the panel here, and it will transform into a tetrahedron 1d4. Take the tetrahedron, then take the meteoric ore and return to the laboratory.
Laboratory
Use the pot to brew the final potion. Turn the page of the recipe book to the "Force Potion", and follow these steps:
- Add red crystals to turn the fire red
- Use the latch to set the fire intensity to 2
- Add meteoric ore, chalk and pyrite
- Stir the pot successfully
You have now made all possible potions Master Brewer. Take and drink the force potion (7/7) Iron Gut. You can now use the force up to 3 times before needing to drink another potion. Make several more force potions while you are here (using the quick brew button). Head down to the study.
Study
Use a time potion on the fallen rocks to reveal a staircase going down, then head down there.
Cellar
Put a light potion in the stand in the middle of the room. Look at the skull (7/9) near the recipe book. Look in the shelves in the corners of the room to find the Devil card (13/15), and an ankh (8/9). Use your alchemical sight and click on the illusion (9/9) I See U to reveal a gem in the book. Examine the book - rotate the gem clockwise until the first latch opens, then anti-clockwise, clockwise and anti-clockwise. Once the book opens, take the magic wand from inside. Also pay close attention to the symbols inside the book.
Use your force power on the blank wall down here to reveal a secret room beyond. Read the letter (6/6) on the ground here Archivist. Also search for the Ace of Swords card (14/15). Insert your tetrahedron on the triangular panel on the wall, then take it back. Pick up the salt crystal. Use a lift potion on the obelisk in the middle of the room. Now you must use your magic wand to highlight the correct letters around the obelisk, based on the symbols inside the book from the cellar - two letters need to be highlighted within each group of 4, based on the corners indicated in the book. Once the letters for each side of the obelisk are correct, they cannot be changed again. Once all 4 sides are done, take the staff of light.
Go through the portal on the wall here into a new area.
Telescope Room
Pick up an amulet from a table around to the left, and place it on the viewing platform in the workspace between the staircases. Head up the stairs and look through the telescope. Here you will find several star symbols and several colored stars. Start from the middle and rotate the display until the symbol overlaps the orange star.
Go back down the stairs to the workspace. Set the top and bottom of the sphere on the right to recreate the symbol above. Pull the red and yellow levers down on the left to recreate the orange color above. Now use the large mechanism at the top of the workspace. If you are correct, an orange symbol will now be present on the amulet.
Repeat this process for green (blue and yellow), pink (red and white), purple (red and blue) and light blue (blue and white). Once all are done, you can pick up the completed amulet. Go back through the portal and head upstairs to the study.
Study
Go down into another small room from the study and insert your tetrahedron on the triangular panel. Take the tetrahedron back, and pick up the mercury crystal. Go back to the night & day room.
Night & Day Room
Make sure you are in the day version of the room. Use your force power on the blank wall half way into the room, to reveal a secret area. Look on the ledge here to find the Death card (15/15) Collector and a chalice (9/9) Curious. Go to the end of the main part of the room and place the amulet on the small pedestal.
Switch back to the night version of the room. Use a time potion on the crumbled obelisk near the entrance of the room, and it will stand upright again. Go to the far end of the room and insert your tetrahedron in the top of the small chest, then take it back. Now you can pick up the sulfur crystal from the chest.
Switch to the day version of the room again. Insert your 3 crystals in the receptacles in the middle of the room. Now go to the 3 levers in the side part of the room. You need to raise all 3 crystals to the top positions by pulling the levers. Return to the end of the room and use the large device that has been revealed. Here you need to rearrange the spheres so they match the arrangement on the amulet below. Once you are done, take the staff.
Tower of Elements
Insert the charged horn, and the pedestal will lower. Insert your fire gem into the first hole in the wall. Examine the fire device behind it - you need to move the angled buttons to direct the red beam of energy around all 4 middle sensors, then to the top-right corner. Now you can take the charged fire gem.
Insert the earth gem into the second hole in the wall. Examine the earth device behind it - you need to place the jigsaw pieces into the puzzle, making sure the lines on them match up. Now you can take the charged earth gem.
Insert the wind gem into the third hole in the wall. Examine the wind device behind it - you need to rotate the discs to create a complete picture, starting from the inside. Now you can take the charged wind gem.
Insert the water gem into the final hole in the wall. Examine the water device behind it - you need to rotate the pipes so they are all connected. Now you can take the charged water gem. Head back around to the study.
Study
Insert your 4 charged gems into the plaque on the wall (make sure they have symbols matching the ones around the plaque). The plaque will spin when correct. Insert your tetrahedron on the panel. Wait until the door dissolves, then follow the red sphere down the stairs ahead. Insert your light staff at the bottom, then attach the other staff at the top.
Step forward onto the new platform which contains blue and orange spheres. You need to move all of the movable blue and orange machines so they are next to matching colored spheres in the ground. Once you are done, go over to the large glowing sigil on the wall.
Other Realm
Walk forward along the platforms and stand on the glowing squares so you can answer a series of 3 questions. After this, you can either continue forward through a white portal, or go back through a purple portal, leading to 2 different endings.
