Police Department

Pick up your keys and your ID, then read the invitation to the event at 8pm tonight. Look at your badge (696) and watch each of the 4 video tapes just to the right. Examine the computer, and all the information will be sent to your PDA.

Open your PDA. Go to Files, then read all the suspect files. Go to Labs and read the autopsy reports. Return to the map and check the video message on your PDA.

Holly's Safe House

Open the mailbox and look through the mail (notice the VCR code 4321 inside the TV guide. Head inside and look at the TV. Use the VCR and enter the code 4321. Head back outside and leave.

Titus Gallery

Look at the newspaper article, then head inside. Listen to some of the people, then click on the blue sign to continue right. Talk to the bartender through the next doorway:

• Sounds like a lot to swallow, but I'll try anything once.
• I was wondering if you had any theories on the cover girl murders.
• Who do you think the killer is?
• Wow. I was going to ask Candi Jefferson for some modeling tips, but now I'm having second thoughts.
• So, have you seen Candi Jefferson around here anywhere?
• Why isn't Logan's wife here to support him?
• But I thought he was one of the most successful photographers in Los Angeles.

Go inside and listen to the phone message.

Police Station

Watch the new video tape, then look through Polly's records, in particular her credit report. Use the M&A interface to submit an alibi for Polly Entwhistle.

Candi's House

Watch your new PDA video message. Pick up the romance novel and shoe heel from the floor near the bed. Look at the chest on the right to read a postcard and pick up a drinking glass. Listen to the messages on the phone. Use the M&A interface to submit a motive for Andre Solloway. Click on any other part of the phone to move it aside, revealing some photos and a note. Use the M&A interface to submit a motive for Bruno Pantucci. Back out and open the chest to see an advertisement for an Enlil meeting (note the number 3 everywhere). Move the clothes on the left and pick up the roll of bills.

Now turn to the right and examine a wicker table. Open the jewellery box and take the charm inside. Click on the small corner of paper beneath the scarf of the table to get a new phone number for your PDA (555-1245). Search the clothing in the bottom of the table to find a briefcase - open this with combination 333 based on the Enlil meeting advertisement. Read the Will inside. Use the M&A interface to submit a motive for Dermot O'Connor. Also look at the small note. Use the M&A interface to submit a motive for Eddie Pantucci. Back out from the briefcase, then pick up the vibrator box behind it.

Logan's Studio

After meeting Logan, search the work bench. Open the book and read about Enlil. Notice the note written in red pen, signed by SM. Use the M&A interface to submit a motive for Sandi Mills. Look in the drawer of the work bench to get some scissors. Turn left and examine the yellow fire hydrant, picking up some lipstick. Look in the wire bin near the hay bales to get 3 slides. Examine the trash can near the motorbike.

Now talk to Logan:

• Congratulations on your gallery exhibition. Funny, I didn't see you there.
• Sounds like you're doing pretty well for yourself lately.
• Your newfound fame has a lot to do with the fact that you're connected to the cover girl murders. Does that bother you?
• Three models you photographed wound up dead. Do you think that's coincidence?
  Use the M&A interface to submit a motive for Dr Alphonse Reo.
  
  
• I'll go get ready for the shoot.

Go through the white door to the left. Talk to Logan and select any of the sets. When you are done, return to the map.

Watch the video message from Victor, who needs you to remove items from the evidence list, as you can only have 6 each day. Make sure you keep the following items:

• Charm with symbol (Candi's House)

Open the mailbox and look through the mail. Go inside and listen to the phone message.

Vernon's Apartment

Knock on the door and you will immediately start talking to Vernon:

• Your note said I was in danger. What's this all about?
• What makes you think I'm going to be the next victim?
• Who was the one exception?
• Who was Miss February?
• Where is Miss February now?
  Use the M&A interface to submit a motive for Polly Entwhistle.
  
  
• Look, I should probably let you get back to work.

As soon as the conversation is over, look under the right side of the bed mattress to find a manuscript. Use the M&A interface to submit a motive for Vernon Breen.

Solloway Agency

Go through the white doors into a reception area. Talk to Lakey on the left if you want, then turn right to the reception desk. Pick up the lipstick from the floor. Look at the notepad on the desk to get a phone number for your PDA (555-1111). Talk to Dmitri:

• Will Mr. Solloway be long?
• I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you.
• I'm very nervous. All the women in L.A. Erotica are so beautiful.
• Well, they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
• She sounds terrific. I'd love to meet her sometime.

Turn left and go through the door to meet Andre:

• Nice place you've got here.
• Three of your cover girls have died recently. Did you know them?
• With all these girls dying, I'm not sure if I feel safe working here.
• Like who?
• Your assistant's really got an attitude.
• Have you ever met Dmitri's girlfriend Jeanette?
• I shouldn't take up any more of your time.

After the conversation, go through the left door into Andre's private office. Search the desk first; examine the large black desk blotter and find a small note and receipt tucked in the right side. Use the M&A interface to submit an alibi for Andre Solloway. Now move the blotter and then the photo, and pick up a phone number for your PDA (1-900-LKK-SEXY).

Turn around to look at the credenza against the wall. Look under the snow globes and take a key. Also pick up some handcuffs from a left drawer of the credenza, a paddle behind the photo on the fridge, and 4 more phone numbers in a Rolodex in the middle cupboard of the credenza (555-1900, x222, 555-6969, 555-6348 #1234). To the left of the sofa, look under the dog to get an envelope marked "SLAVE".

Logan's Studio

You can get inside using the key you just found at Solloway Agency. Look in the trash can near the motorbike. Turn right and open the door to the dark room - Polly Entwhistle will appear and you will talk:

• I might ask you the same question.
• How are you serving the Lord by burning photographs?
• How does Logan lead the innocent to wickedness?
• I thought Logan Collins was just a photographer?
• L.A. Erotica is a front for Escorts Unlimited?
• Do you always fight wickedness with arson?
• Who are the sinners?
• Who are the murderers?
• Who do you think is responsible for the cover girl murders?

• I've never been comfortable around zealots. I'd better go.

Now enter the dark room. Look behind the hanging photos to get a phone number for your PDA (#22). Develop a photo in each of the trays on the bench. Look left to the binding machine, then examine the letter beneath it. Use the M&A interface to submit a motive for Audrey Collins.

Dr Reo's Office

Go inside and search the middle left filing cabinet drawer to get some pills, and the top right drawer to get some bondage gear. Pick up a set of test tubes from the small table behind the desk, and some gloves from inside the bin just to the left. Now talk to the doctor when he arrives:

• Hi, I'm Dee. I'm here for my free examination.
• Excuse me, I was under the impression that this was a free examination.
• Why are you paying me?
• What kind of trouble did you have with Andre Solloway?
• Of course. But I wanted to hear your side of the story.
• Hey, do you know where can I score some blow?
• What do you know about Eddie Pantucci?
• Who do you think is responsible for the Cover Girl Murders?
  Use the M&A interface to submit a motive for Lakey Snow.
  
  
• You're not a gynecologist, you're an idiot. I'm out of here.

Dmitri & Jeanette's Apartment

Knock on the door to meet Jeanette:

• Is Dmitri home?
• My name is Dee. I saw your headshot at Logan Collins' studio.
• I'm trying to break into the L.A. modeling scene.
• Have you heard about the Cover Girl Murders?
• Who do you think is responsible for the Cover Girl Murders?
• What's spooky about it?
• Sorry to bother you. I'll come by when Dmitri's home.

Return to the map. Watch the video message from Victor, who needs you to remove items from the evidence list, as you can only have 6 each day. Make sure you keep the following items:

• No, I must have you now. I don't care if Lakey catches us.
• Did you know any of the girls who were murdered?
• You seem to be taking their deaths pretty well.
• Is Lakey a prostitute, too?
• How did Polly scare Lakey?
• Lakey is trying to get me a job at Pandora's. What do you know about it?
• Tell me about Dr. Reo.
• Tell me about Vernon Breen.
• How long have you and Lakey been together?
• Lakey seems too nice to be a psychopath.

Back at the map, watch the video message from Victor.

Dmitri & Jeanette's Apartment

Try to open the door, but it is locked. Look under the mat and pick up the key, then head inside. Look at the phone book on the left of the wardrobe for another phone number for your PDA (x143). Look inside the wardrobe and take the wig from the top shelf. Next examine the chair closely to find some glue. Look in the white chest of drawers (top drawer) to get Vernon's key.

Vernon's Apartment

Head inside now that you have a key. There are 4 files here: Jackie (on the stereo), Brandi (next to the bed), Mimi (in the oven) and Candi (in the high kitchen cupboard). Look through the box hidden in the freezer.

Pandora's Box

Talk to Eddie, who is near the poles:

• How much does this job pay?
• Isn't it awful about the girls who were killed?
• Did Lakey tell you I've been photographed by Logan Collins? I can't believe I got a session with him. I hear he's very busy.
• Do you think Logan Collins was involved in the murders?
• Where were you when Candi was killed?
• I'm going to get ready for my shower dance.

Go through the red doorway on the right, then continue to the men's room on the right to meet Bruno:

• Hi, I'm the new girl, Dee Lattanzi.
• Eddie is your uncle?
• Did you grow up on the West Coast?
• Is there a Mrs. Eddie?
• Does Eddie ever fool around with any of the girls who work here?
• Doesn't Jeanette have a boyfriend already?
• All the victims in the cover girl murders used to work here. Is this job safe?
• Anybody I should watch out for around here?
• Anyone else I should watch out for?

Return to the main part of the club, then through the black doorway to the left and into a shower stall.

Go inside and listen to the phone messages.

Pandora's Box

Go through the red doorway, then enter the star dressing room to see Lakey and Brandi fight. Next enter the men's room to see Dr Reo and Bruno. Go into the men's room again after they leave, and find a phone number for your PDA on the towel dispenser. Look under the plunger on the window ledge to get a key for Dr Reo's office. Return to the main part of the club, then use one of the empty poles.

Dr Reo's Office

Head inside now that you have a key. Search the doctor's bag on top of the filing cabinet for a roll of bills. Grab the glasses from the desk. Search the top left and bottom left desk drawers for more drugs.

Return to the map and click on the moon to end the day.

April 6

Check the video message on your PDA, and review all the evidence and all the autopsies, including the new one for Brandi. Now go through all of the transmissions from your surveillance. After you watch the video between Sandi Hills and Logan Collins, use the M&A interface to submit an alibi for both Sandi Hills and Logan Collins. After you listen to the audio between Vernon Breen and Dmitri Vanderhooven, use the M&A interface to submit an alibi for Jeanette Davison. When Victor asks if you want to change the surveillance, select these suspects:

1. Andre Solloway
2. Audrey Collins
3. Dr Alphonse Reo

Brandi and Lakey's Apartment

Go inside the apartment. Look in the top left of the tall cupboard to find a red wig. Grab the tape from the tape player in the shelving. Take a security card from the black handbag in the kitchen area. Find cigarette butts on the coffee table near the lounge and the small table near the stairs. Also grab the tray of vegetables on the coffee table.

Review some more surveillance transmissions that will appear on your PDA. After you listen to the audio between Lakey Snow and Andre Solloway, use the M&A interface to submit an alibi for Lakey Snow.

Solloway Agency

Examine the security panel to the right of the door, then click on the slot to use your security card. Now head inside. Go to the cabinet in the corner and use the security tape for April 5. Use the M&A interface to submit an alibi for Audrey Collins.

Holly's Safe House

Open the mailbox and look through the mail. Go inside and listen to the phone message.

Go back to the map and click on the moon to end the day - Lakey will come to see you:

• Oh, Yeah! I've been waiting for this opportunity since I met you.
• Let me know if I can't pick up where Brandi left off.

April 7

Check the video message on your PDA, and review all the evidence and surveillance.

The Library

After watching the scene here, save your game. You can only continue to the next part if you have established alibis for all but 6 suspects (Bruno Pantucci, Dermot O'Connor, Dmitri Vanderhooven, Eddie Pantucci, Dr Alphonse Reo, Vernon Breen).

Pandora's Box

You will now see the 6 suspects can past in random order, and must press the panic button when you see Dmitri dressed as Jeanette. You will eventually be alone with Dmitri:
