3D Escape: Chinese Room

Building 1

Enter the bottom building on the right of the mountain.

Look at the table on the right, then open the pot by dragging the two dragon handles to the sides. Pull out the silver object, then back out.

Now focus on the clock on the central wooden table and insert the silver object in the slot in the top. Drag this to the left, and the top of the clock will open. Focus on the small towers on either side of the grid on top of the clock. Pull down the side arms of these towers, and buildings will come up to the grid. Rotate the other tiles on the grid to create a complete path between the buildings.

After a long animation you will be looking at the left side of the clock. Pull the silver handle down and take out an ornate handle. Back out from the clock.

Examine the left table. Open a small latch on the front of the box here, then pull open the drawer and take out a building piece. Rotate around to the back of the box and open another latch, then grab a winding key and a green box. Back out from this table.

Examine the clock again, and look closely at the top dial on the front. Attach the winding key, then rotate it until the main clock face opens. There are four rotating discs here, with plaques next to each of them. Rotate the discs so the symbols closest to the plaques match the symbols on the plaques.

After the clock opens further, you will be focused on a raised brick tower. Rotate the bricks so there are matching patterns running up the sides. Zoom in on the next raised brick tower and press the wooden beams until they are all in. Once you are at the third brick tower, focus on the red banners on the side. Drag these up and down until the 3 banners are all in the middle. For the final brick tower, focus on the round blades. You need to slide them all into the middle so there are 4 correct characters shown - you can rotate the blades by pressing the button in the middle.

A larger building will now rise up in the middle of the platform. Attach your building piece to the top, then spin it until it is fixed in place. Now drag the paired lamp posts outside the building until they reach the target squares. Take the large gear from the drawer that opens. Inside this into the slot that you automatically focus upon. Attach the ornate handle to the middle and spin it.

You will now be looking at the right side of the clock. Pull the silver handle down and take out another green box. Examine the first one and attach the second one to it, then take the blue orb. Look at the dragon on top of the clock and put the blue orb in its mouth Aspiration.

Building 2

Enter the bottom building on the left of the mountain.

Approach the main desk, then focus on the top of the large box. Spin the handle on the top until the sides of the box open. Examine the front side first - slide the small catch to the right, then take out a jade dragon symbol. Rotate around to the right and place this on the wooden stand in the next compartment, then take the jade cup. Rotate around to the right and place this on the jade stand, then spin it around. Take the key. Rotate around to the right and insert this into the lock, then turn it. Drag the pink flower along the path until you reach the end (just be persistent and move forward and backward until you can make it). Take the orange orb.

Back out, then forward on the jade Buddha on the opposite table. Place the orange orb in its hand. In the next puzzle, click on the red and blue symbols to change their positions. A new statue will slide forward. You can flip over the discs with colors that match the eyes. Flip over the discs to show symbols that match the ones on the images to the sides and behind the statue. Take the bell.

Back out again, then turn around and look at the small red tower to the left. Hang the bell in the empty place Mortal Heart.

Building 3

Enter the top building on the left of the mountain.

Examine the shield on the far left wall. Press the buttons until they all slide in (the fastest way is to press the bottom button, then the top button). Take out the gold door knocker. Back out again.

Focus on the small wooden cabinet in the back of the room. Open the latch, then pull open the doors. Take the stone tablet. Back out, then focus on the large wooden platform in the middle of the room. Insert the stone tablet into the slot on the far side, then watch as the platform transforms.

Gradually move the tower over the path from the left compound to the right compound - you need to make sure you don't remain lined up with the enemy tower when it is ready to attack or you will need to restart.

After the platform changes again, focus on the new building in the middle. As you move the lamps around the base of the building, the bridges will either move in or out. The goal is to get all the bridges to retract. Take the colorful medallion once the building opens. Back out again.

Go over to the wagon on the left. Attach the gold door knocker to reveal an underlying mechanism. Use the 4 gold devices around the outside until all components of the mechanism are depressed, then slide the middle handle down. Once the wagon's door opens, look at the base of the statue inside. Rotate the left gold dragon so it aligns normally, and the round wooden platform will flip over. Zoom in on this and rotate the central figurine so you can slide in the 3 pieces from the outside to complete it. After the platform flips over again, attach your colorful medallion Warfire.

Building 4

Enter the top building on the right of the mountain.

Approach the cabinet in the far corner of the room. Take the ornate wooden box from the open slot. Examine this in your inventory - open the metal latch and take out a jade decoration. Now examine the cabinet again. Pull open the bottom drawer of the cabinet to see a disc puzzle. Rotate the discs to create a complete picture. Take out the half house model. Look inside the other drawer now that it is open. Rotate the compartment inside so you can take out a statue, then the left side of the cabinet will transform.

Open a wooden panel on the right of the new part of the cabinet, and take a roof model. Back out to the main part of the room.

Look at the table on the left. Insert the statue in the depression. Next add your half house model, followed by the roof model. Examine the puzzle in front of the completed model. Drag the tiles around to gradually move the statue to the top-right corner. After a small transformation, take the wooden roof beams.

Zoom in on the front of the model house and place the jade decoration just below the roof. Once the side of the building opens, take another roof model. Also take the dragon head figurine, and note the images of a rooster and a horse.

Go back to the large cabinet. Attach the dragon head figurine to the dial at the top. Look down to the house model here and attach the wooden roof beams, then the roof model. Take the key from the new compartment. Look back up at the dial and insert the key. Turn the dial to point to the rooster and horse heads, and the top of the cabinet will fold open.

Rotate the 2 lamps on the front of the model village. Watch as the figure goes towards the small building on the left. Zoom in and ring the bell 3 times by dragging the wooden beam to the side - now watch as the figure goes to the other small building. Zoom in and turn the 4 corner shelves so they are all decorated.

Take the jade semicircle. Back out to the room, then examine the box on the right table. Attach the jade semicircle to the top of the box The Way.

Building 5

Enter the middle building on the right of the mountain.

Start by examining the far statue on the right (with the green face). Rotate the dial on the scabbard so you can see a triangular depression. Pull the sword out slightly and take the green gem, then place it in the depression. Grab the golden gear from the base of the statue. Back out again.

Look at the wooden cabinet against the left wall. Open the doors at the bottom and insert the golden gear. Take out a blue gem. Next zoom in on the top-left cabinet drawer and open it, taking out a necklace. Examine this and take a pewter head. Attach this to the pewter incense burner on top of the cabinet. Take a golden Buddha and purple gem from the incense burner. Examine the top-right corner of the cabinet and insert the Buddha here. Focus on the small symbol that is revealed beneath this and drag all 4 corners outwards. Take the screwdriver blade, then back out to the main part of the room.

Next examine the near statue on the right (with the purple face). Insert the purple gem into the snake's eye socket. Take a wooden screwdriver handle from the base of the statue. Examine this in your inventory and open it, then insert the screwdriver blade. Back out again.

Examine the near statue on the left (with the pink face). Examine the musical instrument and slide open the bottom portion. Insert the blue gem here, then slide it down. Take the wooden handle from the base of the statue, then back out again.

Examine the wooden cabinet to the left again. Attach the wooden handle to the golden gear on the front of the cabinet. Look at the top-right corner again and use your screwdriver on the small triangular depression around to the far right side. Take out the spear tip., then back out.

Now examine the far statue on the left (with the blue face). Attach the spear tip to the top of the pole here. Take the wooden ratchet handle from the base of the statue, then back out.

Return to the cabinet on the left and attach the ratchet handle to the front of the cabinet. Attach the screwdriver, then turn the handle. Once the new panel opens, take a small disc from beneath the Buddha statue. Back out. Go over to the panel on the wall between the right statues and insert this disc into the middle. Examine the 4 goblets - rotate each of them a half turn so they are all aligned correctly Snowfall.
