The Hidden Game Society is a room escape game based around board games. After accepting an invitation for an interview to join a mysterious club, you find yourself alone and trapped in a formal-looking lobby. You must solve a series of puzzles to complete the interview and escape the room.

The Desk

Look at the piece of paper on the desk, which has a series of numbers indicating a time line. Look around the room and examine a series of 3 paintings to discover the actual years in question:

  • 1530: Picture above the fireplace
  • 1865: Picture to the right of the elevator
  • 1868: Picture to the left of the elevator

Open the top left desk drawer and examine the colored crossword puzzle. There are 4 colors, with references to numbers associated with each color:

  • Red: 1 (first)
  • Yellow: 2 (clue 2 across)
  • Blue: 3 (difference between 6 and 9)
  • Green: 4 (circled number)

Look at the 4 books on the table containing colored bookmarks. Move these books in the order indicated by the crossword puzzle (red, yellow, blue, green). Now you can open the central desk drawer. Inside you will find a series of Scopa cards, some covered with dice. If you look at the numbers on the cards covered by the four dice in order, you will get the sequence 4736. Go over to the keypad next to the elevator and enter this code (there are no numbers on the keypad, but the layout is as follows):

Entering the correct code will reveal a safe behind the desk.

The Safe

Open the top right drawer of the desk, and you will see a series of 3 partial numbers. These correspond to the dates from the paintings you found earlier. Go over to the keypad next to the elevator, and enter each of these 3 dates, and the paintings will slide up to reveal some simple Sudoku puzzles:

Now you can approach the safe and open it with the 3 highlighted numbers from these puzzles: 661.

Look in the safe to see a series of four word search puzzles. Each of these has a hidden number written in it: six, four, one and nine. This gives you the code 6419. Enter this code into the keypad by the elevator. Go over and take the missing black pawn from the wooden box that has opened. Place this on the chess board to reveal a new room.

Map Room

Look around the map room, but there doesn't appear to be anything to do here yet. Go out and examine the small compartments in the game boards in the main room, and you will find a note that says "once the path is open, around the world you will find your destination". Go over to the desk and spin the small globe.

Return to the map room to see the chess board with 2 sets of pawns. Now you need to make 2 chess moves as indicated on the strange Reversi board on the desk:

Now you can enter the opened door ahead.
