The Gateway Trilogy is a series of 3 games gathered together for release on Steam. You control a robot and must guide it through a series of enigmatic puzzle rooms. In the third game, there are 2 difficulty levels, with different puzzles. There are 33 Steam Achievements, all documented in the walkthrough below.

Gateway 1

Level 1

Turn on the Developer Commentary option and listen to at least one of the comments Commentary. Press the button and go through the gateway.

Level 2

Pick up the set of stairs and use it with the ledge. Climb up and go through the gateway.

Level 3

Pick up the batteries and the remote from the table. Put the batteries into the remote, then use the remote on the remote sensor above the door Remotely True. Now head through the gateway.

Level 4

Pick up the screwdriver and use it on the service hatch. Now collect the tiny pearl and the extension cord. Use the extension cord on the power cord, then use the extended power cord with the power outlet. Head through the gateway.

Level 5

Pick up the huge pearl. Look at the pattern above the door, then recreate this pattern by repeatedly walking on the 3 floor segments (inner pink, middle yellow, outer green). After the gateway opens, go through.

Level 6

Examine the keypad on the left and press all buttons except the middle one. Pick up the small pearl. Press the button and continue through the gateway.

Level 7

Look through the telescope. Look at the right window and look away repeatedly until you see "PEEPER" written on the window. Pick up the medium pearl. Try entering 554522 into the keypad by the door That's The Melody To Funkytown. Now enter 739339 and go through the gateway.

Level 8

Push the left walkway. Step out to the middle platform collect the big pearl. Make sure both colors are the same. Return through the left gateway and you will appear on the right. Push the right walkway, then return through the right gateway. Change both colors back to normal, then proceed through the right gateway.

Level 9

Pick up the large pearl and medium pearl. Place the pearls on the boxes in the following order: tiny, small, medium, big, large, huge Not THAT Easy. Pick them all back up and place them in the following order: large, medium, huge, tiny, big, small. Head up the stairs and press the button, then go through the gateway.

Level 10

Watch the television, then use the remote control on it. Now switch between the channels and pay attention to how you get the yellow character from outside the house up to the bedroom (by viewing channels 9, 5, 4, 2, 7 and 1). Now use the keypad to the left and enter code 954271.

Level 11

There are 6 different colored floor segments, with flashing lights above each. The number of flashes indicates the order of the colors to be selected. Across the top they should be green, pink and yellow. Across the bottom they should be blue, purple and orange. Stand on the elevator We Need To Go Deeper.

There is an extra achievement for entering the telescope code (739339) and television code (954271) without using the telescope or television Clueless I.

Gateway 2

Video Tape 1

Go through the left gateway. Press the button and continue through the next gateway into a bathroom. Pick up the bathroom mirror, then use the sink and open the warm water tap to reveal the code 7997 on the large mirror. Close the warm water tap and back out. Enter the code 7997 on the keypad, then pick up the video tape Video Tape I.

Return and try to follow the orange robot to the right, but the door closes. Press the right button to turn on the light. Stand beneath the light and use the bathroom mirror on the blinking eye. Now head through the right gateway.

Video Tape 2

Go through the right gateway. Make your way to the right, resetting each floor panel to its original color as you go, then continue through the next gateway into a living room. Pick up the lighter and the newspaper from the coffee table. Open the drawer of the dressing table and take the screwdriver from inside. Look at the painting on the right to see the numbers 786. Next use your newspaper on the door and your screwdriver on the lock. Retrieve the newspaper to get a key. Use the key on the lock, then open the door and go through. Make your way to the right, resetting each floor panel as you go, then pick up the video tape Video Tape II.

Return to the left, making each floor panel dark as you go, so you can head back through the door. Go through the gateway to the left. Follow the orange robot to the left, resetting each floor panel to its original color as you go.

Video Tape 3

Go through the top right gateway. Examine the table to see a message, then back out again. Turn the lamp on and off 3 times, then examine the table again. Use the pen to scribble on the notepad until you can make out a phone number, then pick up the receiver and dial 86763454. Go through the right gateway. Use your lighter on the sprinkler, then continue right into a kitchen. Pick up the video tape Video Tape III.

Open the fridge, then stand just beneath the fridge and the eyes will eventually give up. Go back through the gateway to the left. Press the button to turn on the light. Stand beneath the light and use your bathroom mirror on the sprinkler to see a rainbow of light - this is the next code you need. Go over to the alarm override and enter purple, pink, yellow, green, red, orange. Follow the orange robot to the left.

Video Tape 4

Go through the top left gateway. Notice the 3 numbers displayed above the next gateway to the left. Save your game, then look through the window. Press the electricity button to shock the pupil many times Shockingly Inhumane. Load your game, then look through the window again. Now create sums for the pupil to solve, so that the answers match the 3 numbers above the next gateway, and do not shock the pupil at all Shockingly Humane. Go through the gateway. Use the telescope and watch the orange robot. Back out and turn the lamp on and off 3 times, then use the telescope again. Watch the orange robot, then back out again. Examine the table and answer the phone, then press the buttons corresponding to the musical notes just to the left: top, top, middle, middle, bottom, bottom, top, top. Continue through the next gateway to the left into another living room.

Notice the painting on the wall here matches the from from the other living room. Watch the television and enter the code from the other painting: 786. Go through the next gateway. Cross the floor here without stepping in any of the spotlights, pick up the video tape Video Tape IV, and return without stepping in any of the spotlights. Go back through the gateway to the previous room In A Mother's Eye. Go right twice more. Follow the orange robot to the right.

Watch the television. Insert each of the 4 video tapes, pressing the transfer button each time and then ejecting I Have To Return Some Video Tapes. Now watch all of the videos and work out the correct sequence (2, 6, 4, 3, 7, 9, 8, 5 and 1). Back out and pick up the wire. Examine the orange robot. Plug the wire into her neck, then enter code 264379851. Walk along the new path I Think I See Now.

There is an extra achievement for entering the bathroom code (7997), the phone number (86763454) and the orange robot code (264379851) without using the warm water tap, pen or video tapes Clueless II.

Gateway 3

Security

Go through the gateway to the left. Try to open all of the lockers, and pick up the ID card and remote that you find inside two of them. Use the remote with the remote sensor above the left gateway, then continue to the left. Look at the security guard, then talk to him: "ID card please". Show him your ID card, then pick it up again. Back out and continue to the left. Use the remote with the bin. Walk left into the security scanner, then go through the next gateway. Pick up a time card from the right board and use it with the punch clock. Put the stamped time card into the left board, then go left once more into an elevator. Press the only available button.

Feeding Dock

Use your ID card with the slot, then retrieve it and continue left. Follow the dock and talk to the shift guard: "Where's the fodder cube?". Pick up a fodder cube and show it to the shift guard, then go up the ramp and feed it to the tongue. Repeat this a total of 10 times Feeder. Pick up another fodder cube and stand on the tongue before feeding it to the tongue Down The Rabbit Hole.

At the bottom, step off the tongue before picking the fodder cube up again. Head down the stairs and through the right gateway. Pick up the bolus cube here, then continue right. In the next corridor, place the bolus cube on the plate, and place the fodder cube in the gateway. Pick up the bolus cube again, then wait for the gateway to close for a bit, then open again. Now you can pick up the fodder cube and keep going right. In the next room, put one cube on each plate, then continue through the next gateway into another elevator.

Press the head button. After the green robot leaves, return to the elevator.

The Limbs

Press the left arm button. You will be faced with a series of 3 rooms (normal) or 5 rooms (hard). In each you must step on all of the floor plates to light them up without retracing your steps at all. Go through the next gateway once you have succeeded in each case. In the following room, pick up the punch card from the pedestal. Go through the right gateway.

Press the right arm button. You will be faced with another series of 3 rooms (normal) or 5 rooms (hard). This time there are plates that must be stepped on twice. Again take the punch card from the pedestal in the following room. Go through the right gateway.

Press the left leg button. There are another 3 rooms (normal) or 5 rooms (hard) to solve, this time with the addition of plates that must be avoided until the end. Pick up another punch card, then continue right.

Press the right leg button. In this final set of 3 rooms (normal) or 5 rooms (hard) there are now also teleporter plates to contend with. Grab the fourth punch card, then continue right to the elevator.

Press the head button. Use the control panel and insert your 4 punch cards King of Limbs. Back out from the control panel. Use either elevator.

The Rest of the Body

Press the intestine button. You will be faced with a series of 5 rooms. You need to step on the floor panels to recreate the symbol above the right gateway, then go through. In the second room, pick up the chyme cube. In the fourth room, pick up the waste cube. After solving the fifth puzzle Bowel Movement, enter the elevator on the right.

Press the left lung button. You will be faced with a series of 7 rooms. In each you must step on the large floor panels to recreate the symbol above the right gateway, then go through. In the following room, pick up the punch card from the pedestal. Go through the right gateway.

Press the right lung button. You will be faced with another 7 rooms. This time you must step on large floor panels in the order indicated above the right gateway before going through. From the 4th room, just follow the pattern even though the symbols don't light up as you go. From the 6th room, ignore the symbols that are already lit up. Grab the sixth punch card, then continue right to the elevator.

Press the head button. Use the control panel and insert your latest 2 punch cards Lung Capacity. Back out from the control panel. Use either elevator.

Press the heart button. Use the control panel. Click on the green display every time the green dot reaches the exact middle, and the heart will activate King of Hearts. Turn on all 3 switches to the right. Return to the elevator.

Press the uterus button. Lie down to create an imprint on the left side. Place the waste cube and chyme cube within the imprint, then use the control panel and press the bottom button, followed by the top button. You will have created half a robot.

Press the intestine button. Pick up another waste cube.

Press the stomach button. Use one of your cubes on the open gateway to the right, then pick up the other 2 cubes from the pressure plates Pyloric Problems. Make sure you have 3 cubes, then return to the right.

Press the uterus button. Lie down to create an imprint on the right side. Place the waste cube and bolus cube within the imprint, then use the control panel and press the bottom button, followed by the top button. Examine the imprint on the right, and insert your ID card in the robot's slot. Back out and lie down in the other imprint. Click on the left screen, then keep clicking on the right screen to get a matching image. Repeat this until all images are matched Marry & Reproduce. Head through the gateway to the left (and your clone will go to the right).

Press the bottom spine button. With the aid of your clone, solve another floor plate problem, then reach the elevator and go up one level. These floor plates follow the same series of rules as those in the earlier limb levels. There are a total of 8 puzzles to complete Spinelessly Yours. Enter the elevator.

Press the head button. There is an achievement now if you didn't cause an error and puzzle reset in any of the floor plate puzzles (limbs, spine) Petite Feet. Talk to the shift worker, then save your game. Keep click on the floor at the shift worker's feet and you will crush him to death There Can Be Only Two. Load your game and don't crush him this time, but instead offer him your fodder cube Making Friends. Save your game if you want to view the different endings. Place the fodder cube on the plate here. Use the control panel and turn it on. Keep pressing the left arm button quickly until the chains break The Sleeper Must Awaken. Now press both of the "sit" buttons on the right, then both of the "stand" buttons on the right.

The Sleeper

Move the sleeper down and to the right using the arrow buttons, then follow the street to the next area. There is an achievement if you didn't crush the shift worker There Can Be Only Three. Keep heading to the far right until you can go through a gateway. Continue to the right until you reach a familiar house.

If you placed the fodder cube on the plate in the head room, open the door. Pick up the remote and use it on the television. Watch the television That's Classified.

If you didn't place the fodder cube on the plate, ring the doorbell. You will receive a final achievement for completing the game on normal difficulty I Just Wanna Watch TV or on hard difficulty The Mission Was Harder Than I Expected.
