Assemble with Care is a puzzle game based around manipulation of objects in a 3D environment. You play as Maria, an antique restorer, who finds herself in the town of Bellariva. While attending to the needs of your customers you find out more about their lives and then learn some lessons of your own. There are 14 Steam Achievements, all documented in the walkthrough below.

Arrival

Aventura Classic Suitcase

Read the pages, then select to Unpack.

Pick up the suitcase and rotate it so you can see the front. Open the clasps on the suitcase, then take everything out and place each object in its highlighted area.

Lullaby

Minato Cassette Recorder

Read the pages, then select to Restore.

Grab the cassette tape and place it in the middle. Insert the pencil into the right spool and turn it to get the tape back inside. Return the cassette tape to the right.

Now place the cassette recorder in the middle and flip it over. Use the screwdriver on the back panel, and turn it to remove the screw. Click to remove the panel, then take out the dead batteries and put it new ones. Replace the back cover and put the screw back in, then turn it with the screwdriver. Flip the cassette recorder back over and press the eject button. Insert the cassette, then press the eject button again to close it. Now press play.

Shattered

Wentwood Porcelain Statue

Read the pages, then select to Restore.

Grab the base and place it in the middle. Squeeze some glue on to the darker curved section, then attach the other leg and cape. Add some more glue, then add the other leg. Add more glue and stick on the rest of the cape and the right arm (holding the book). Put glue on both the remaining darker sections, then stick on the other arm and the head.

Disconnected

Everdial Rotary Phone

Read the pages, then select to Restore.

Take the phone and place it in the middle. Flip it over and use the screwdriver to remove all 4 screws. Flip it back over to see the top again. Now you can take off the handset and the yellow cover, and place both of them over to the right. Use your screwdriver on the visible screw above the dial, then remove the dial. Drag the pink wire up to the left to detach it. Remove the burnt circuit board and insert your new one. Now attach both pink wires to the pink terminals with matching symbols. Use the screwdriver to remove the screw that is holding in the broken bell, then remove the bell and insert your new one.

Put the screw back in to hold the new bell in position. Replace the dial and screw it in place. Reattach the yellow cover and the handset. Flip the whole telephone over and insert the remaining 4 screws into the base.

In Focus

Lenax U2G 58 Camera

Read the pages, then select to Restore.

Pick up the camera and place it in the middle. Use the screwdriver to remove 4 screws (1 from the top, 1 from the side, 2 from the front). Remove the top, front and bottom of the camera and place these pieces on the left. Remove the broken mirror and insert your new one in its place. Use the screwdriver to adjust the angle of the mirror so the light path goes through to the viewfinder (see the mirror layout page provided to the right). Insert the roll of film next to the mirror.

Put the top, front and bottom of the camera back in place. Insert all 4 screws.

In The Dark

Carmen's Neon Sign

Read the pages, then select to Assemble.

Take the large rectangular piece and put it in the middle. Flip it over and use the screwdriver to remove the 2 screws. Remove the cover and place it on the right. Squeeze some glue on to the depressed portion in the top right, then attach the rectangular device with a power button here. Attach a pink wire to the two pink terminals. Flip the device over and attach both neon tubes, then flip it back over and press the power button.

Add some glue to the new rectangular area on the device, and stick on your new circuit board. Now change the bottom wire so it attaches to the new circuit board, and add a new wire connecting the new board to the other light terminal. Press the power button to see the results.

Add yet more clue and stick on another new circuit board. Change the top left wire and add another wire to now include the new circuit board. Flip the device over and attach any of the 3 new neon tubes. Put the cover back on the device and replace the 2 screws. Press the power button one last time.

Playing Up

Yoko Pop'N'Play Games Console

Read the pages, then select to Restore.

Pick up the gaming device and put it in the middle. Flip it over and take off the battery cover, then remove the battery. Also take off the top and bottom back panels. Remove all 6 pink wires. Take out the broken display from the top, and put it your new one. Place the sound chip with the red connector on the back of the display. Next take out the bottom circuit board. Remove the broken red button and put in your new one, then put the bottom circuit board back. Pull out the burnt sound chip from the bottom section and replace it with your new one.

You now need to add in the 6 wires - just make sure that the light, sound and display connectors all match up (it doesn't matter which of the 3 numbered ports you use for each). Replace the back covers, insert the battery and put on the battery cover. Flip the device over and slide the game cartridge into the bottom, then turn it on. Play the game - move your character around with the arrow keys until you reach the chicken, then press A when it is in the middle of the display.

Momentary

Schonfelder Automatic 36 Watch

Read the pages, then select to Restore.

Take the watch and place it in the middle. Remove the strap, then use the screwdriver to remove the 4 small screws from the back. Remove the back plate, then the main mechanism, and break it into individual pieces. Remove the cogs from the broken pieces, then pick up the main mechanism piece and place it in the middle. This should still contain a single cog, and there are five you need to insert. Going clockwise from the existing one, insert the angled gold cog, the small gold cog, the large gold cog, the medium silver cog, and finally the small silver cog. Flip the mechanism over and insert the large silver cog.

Next pick up the watch face and put it in the middle. Remove the 2 inner screws with the screwdriver. Separate this into 3 pieces, then put in the new glass and the watch face, and screw it back together. Insert the mechanism and put on the back plate. Screw in the 4 screws, then attach the strap.

The Bigger Picture

Omnicolor Slide Projector

Read the pages, then select to Restore.

Pick up the projector and place it in the middle. Use the screwdriver to remove 4 screws (2 from the top, 2 from the side). Remove the green cover, then the main cover. Take out the broken light bulb and put in your new one. Now insert the 2 mirrors, one directly in the base angled to direct the light sideways into the machine, then another inserted horizontally to direct the light straight up. Put the main cover on, then insert the 3rd mirror and use it to direct the light to the front of the projector.

Put the clicker in the back of the machine. Attach the green cover, and insert the remaining slides into the holder. Now replace the 4 screws you removed earlier. Finally, attach the pink wire from the base of the clicker to the back of the machine. Press the clicker until you have seen all the photos.

Boiling Point

Carmen's Four-Season Soup

Read the pages, then select to Assemble.

Grab the red base and put it in the middle. Attach the 6 smaller components to complete the boiler. Flip the switch on the side to turn on the gas. Now pick up the box of matches. Open the box and put the lid down, then take out a single match. Light the match by dragging it over the lid, then hold it over the gas to light the boiler. Make sure the boiler is in the middle, then put the pot on top, and fill it with broth.

Make a soup using any of the ingredients, then use the ladle to get a serving.

Harmony

Idaphone Fidelity Record Player

Read the pages, then select to Restore.

Take the record player and place it in the middle. Remove the glass case and press the power button, then turn it off again. Remove the record and the main cover. Adjust the wiring so that all the green lights come on, then put the cover and record back in place and press the power button again - now the record is playing backwards.

Remove the record and main cover again. Disconnect the wire going to the motor and remove the yellow belt, then take out the yellow motor. Insert your spare brown motor, and reconnect the wire and belt. Put the cover and record back in place. Press the power button once more. Make sure the speed is set to 45, turn the volume up, and put the glass case back on.

A Father's Reprise

Portofino "Dove Nest" Music Box

Read the pages, then select to Restore.

Pick up the music box and place it in the middle. Press the top to open it, then use your screwdriver to remove the 2 screws from inside the lid. Take out the ring and picture. Squeeze some glue on to the inner aspect of the lid, then attach the new picture. Replace the ring, then insert the 2 screws again.

Now take the drawer out from the front of the music box. Take the bird out of the drawer. Return to the music box take out the inner cover, then use the screwdriver to remove the 4 screws from the bottom. Remove the base, then take out the main mechanism, and start working on this in the middle. You should be able to remove 3 pieces from here. Now insert the 3 cogs (the gold one goes closest to the keyhole, followed by the large silver one, then the small silver one), the music wheel and the cog screw. Insert the key to check the mechanism is working perfectly.

Put the mechanism back inside its enclosure. Attach the base with the 4 screws. Replace the inner cover and put the bird into the slot here. Attach the lid, then insert the key once more.

Pick up the suitcase and rotate it so you can see the front. Open the clasps on the suitcase, then put everything into the suitcase in its highlighted area.

Carmen's Letter

Newcombe Classic Espresso Machine

Read the pages, then select to Continue.

Pick up the coffee machine and rotate it so you can use the screwdriver to remove 1 screw from the bottom and 2 from the back. Remove the bottom silver panel, and detach the top half of the machine, leaving the bottom half as the active object. Remove 2 more screws, then detach the drip tray.

Attach the 2 curved yellow pipes, making sure the arrows point in the right directions. Now add all of the other pipes and canisters to fix the steam leaks. Insert the circuit board in the base of the machine. Now attach 3 sets of 3 pink wires, making sure you are consistent with matching numbers to symbols. Replace the drip tray and screw it in with 2 screws. Replace the bottom silver panel and screw it in with 1 screw. Press both buttons to make sure the machine is working correctly.

Put the coffee cup on the drip tray. Attach the coffee beneath the dispenser, then press the coffee button. Now put the coffee in the middle, and use the milk to draw a pattern on it. Put the coffee on the saucer.
